Hi guys!!! This is my first ever attempt to write anything. So please review, good or bad all kind of responses accepted.
Kriya and Ranvijay Singhania : OS
Now that Rey has decided to join his dad's business, will he ever be happy in this new profession?
At this point I want Kriya to stand up for Rey and make his dad realize wat dance means to Rey. So this OS is hoe Kriya would try to convince Rey's dad.
The whole gang is in Rey's room trying to convince Rey to allow them to speak to his dad, but Rey is adamant. All he says is "Guys I know my dad, he always wanted me to join his business and now that I have promised him to do so he won't be up for anymore argument regarding this"
Kriya gets upset with this and walks out of the room. As Kriya enters the hall she sees Rey's dad enter the house. She just couldn't hold back so she decides to speak to him. She walks upto him.
Kriya: Hi uncle
Rey's dad: Hi kriya! How r u?
K: Uncle can I speak to u?
Rd: Sure kriya anytime.
K: Uncle it's regarding Rey and his dance.
Rd: Look Kriya if ur here to tell me dance is the best profession for Rey, then I'm not up for any discussion. I know wat's rite for Rey, he can never reach great heights in dance but he will in my business, I know his capabilities.
K: Uncle please, just once listen to wat I got to say, at the end decision is still urs.
Kriya continues not waiting for his consent.
K: Uncle, u think rey will be successful if he joins ur busines but will he be happy? Is it always abt making big money? Doesn't happiness matter at all?
[Buy this time the gang hears their voices n move towards the hallways. The gang stands there listening to their conversation. The gang is still out of their site.]
Rd: Happiness follows success and dance is only worth being a hobby not a profession.
K: Uncle, sorry to interrupt, I'm not done yet. I understand ur pov. U always want the best for Rey, hence u want him to join u n fulfill ur dreams. But uncle, he has his own dreams, who will fulfill them? Maybe if he joins ur business he'll be successful but his smile will never be genuine, coz behind that smile there'll always be a question...wat if???
[Saying this Kriya pauses for a while and now turns away from Reys dad and continues.]
K: Uncle u think ret will never find success in dance just coz today dance isn't a well established profession. But uncle there is always a first time. No profession was successful from day one.[Turns towards him]
And uncle wat if ur dad had asked u to join his profession rather than allowing u to live ur dream, would there ever be "The Singhania empire?"...no never. U followed ur dreams, it was ur passion towards work that made you success ful. When u started no one ever thought u would make it this big. But it was ur passion, determination and hardwork that made u wat u r today. N today when Rey wants to prove his passion, do something new u should be the one supporting him the most. Coz of all people u know, success is not always abt travelling a well laid path it's also abt creating ur own. [ She sighs and looks at him with hopeful eyes]
U want him to follow ur footstep, live ur dream n I'm sure he'll succeed as well, but at the end of it he'll always feel whatever he is today its only coz of u. He himself is a loser who could never live his dream. U want him to follow but uncle Rey's a leader. He wants to lay his own path, travel his own journey and write his own history. Uncle he's ur son, he knows wat it takes to be successful. He will be a successful businessman but this time he'll sell dance.
Rd: Kriya, he's is just being impulsive and taking a hasty decision. He doesn't even know wat hardships he's got to face.
K: uncle it was the same impulsive Rey who promised u. So its still an impulsive decision to join u as well. By calling him impulsive ur snatching his confidence. 2mrw when he joins ur business he'll never be able to take his own decisions coz he'll always believe he's impulsive and he can never take a right decision.
[Kriya looks at uncle in a pleading manner.]
K: Just once give him confidence and I'm sure he'll write his own history. 2mrw if he's successful it'll still be coz of u. this time not by following u but by learning from u. Learning how to realize ur dreams learning how to lead! And that day u'll feel even more proud when u call him ur son. N if everything doesn't go wel u will still be there for Rey rite?
[At this point Kriya is almost in tears but still she continues]
Uncle by saying this I'm not trying to prove u wrong, it's just that I know wat it means to quit dance and I never want Rey to go through the same pain.[A lone tear passes down Kriya's cheeks, she swallow the lump in her troat and continues] Uncle, it's not a business deal to think abt profit and loss. It's ur son's life! All u got to think is abt his happiness. He's always lived for for his friends for his dance. Away from them he'll never be happy. Please don't do this to him uncle please.
[Kriya stands there still, hoping for some reply but it doesn't come. Rey's dad is confused and maybe shocked too]
K: Uncle I'm sorry if my words have hurt u coz I never intended to do so. But uncle please please think abt it unce. Don't do this to Rey please.
[Saying this Kriya leaves that place as she is no more able to hold back her tears]
Rey's dad is all left confused and more importantly surprised by the concern Kriya showed for Rey.
The entire gang is just speechless n all their thinking is hope uncle understands.
On the other hand Rey's not concerned abt his dad's decision, he's thinking about the concern Kriya showed for him. He's more touched by her action then being tensed for his future and he has a slight smile on his face thinking: "Is baatcutter ne papa ko be baat karne nahi diya."
THE END
And after this will Rey's dad support Rey's dreams...I don't know..maybe? n maybe not?
All I wanted was to write how kriya would approach Rey's dad
