Lashy, You have got this wrong my dear - TE no longer needs anyone becoz he has Love and due to this he has the Universe with him - He has found Love within - He will never be alone - yes having his beloved and being her beloved would be the cherry and that too will come, but he will never be alone - and he does not need to call anyone his own - He now belongs to The Universe and by extension to all.

The Mom has sensed that if at all someone can be genuine and "his" it is Jodha. Not now, a while back.

Hence the stance that she takes.

However tougher or non understanding she might look today, she knows very well and feels for Jalaal's loneliness.

SO for her things like who started the MU or who the root cause etc is petty as she is looking at a much much bigger picture.

Somewhere Jalaal also has realized that HB looks out for him.

Anu, HB knows Jodha is Jalal's "one and only". She might ultimately be wanting him to be happy.

But, words hurt more than any weapon. Jalal is hurting. He's in pain. And who else should he turn to for understanding, other than his mother? A child may make a lot of mistakes. But every mother knows when to scold and when to love.

HB seems to be bestest mother-in-law. But right know she is quite lacking as a mother.
