Additi Gupta - The Adorable, Dazzling, Dynamic, Innocent, Trendy, Incredible, Gorgeous, Unique, Perfect, Talented, Angelic diva of telly wood. She is the epitome of Beauty and talent. Additi Gupta's first on-screen portrayal is the character HEER MAAN from Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. She is pure. Her innocence is untainted. Her eyes are full of pain while searching for her love. She is the elder daughter of Balraj Maan and Teji Maan. She is an obedient daughter, a loving sister, a passionate lover, a dutiful wife, a responsible daughter-in-law, a caring friend, an encouraging aunt and an amazing mother. Heer's marriage gets fixed in her childhood with her father's best friend's son Prem Juneja. Heer's longing for her soul mate is how the story starts. She loves Prem with all her heart and is ready to sacrifice her life for him and his family. This character goes through many phases. Heer's pain at the beginning : when she gets to know about her parent's death and after realizing that Prem is getting married to someone else. Heer's sorrowful state : when Prem is supposedly dead and her sacrifice while saving Prem's family from enemies. Heer's joy on Prem's comeback. Heer's broken heart and her steadfastness when she thought Prem has cheated her. Heer's courage: standing up for her self and her daughter. Finally Heer becomes a very forgiving & understanding woman who accepts reality as is. This becomes a turning point as she reunites with her long lost family. Additi has justified all these aspects of HEER's character to complete perfection.

Additi Gupta's second on-screen character Priyamvada aka PIHU from Sanjog Se Bani Sangini is nothing but an enigma. Her character was very unpredictable and she herself doesn't know what will be her reaction in which situation. Pihu went through a lot of changes in the course of the show. Her life is always plagued by a constant fight between her heart and her mind. There is a playful side of her that peeps in during the whole journey of this character. Starting off as a spoiled brat who thought that the world is at her feet. She choses Abhay over Rudra(her childhood love). She is spiteful and revenge seeking woman who goes all out to satisfy her ego by bringing Rudra back in her life but at the same time keeping Abhay Happy. She loses her mental balance after realizing her mistake. After a while she regains her strength, accepts the reality and moves ahead in life. Then again getting taken in by people's advice and goes after her love. However this tempted phase wore off quickly as she became a very responsible woman pursing her career as a doctor who takes care of others in need. She is a caring friend to Rudra and his family. Additi made sure that Pihu stood out. With her subtle expressions and flawless acting Additi made Pihu a force to reckon with.

Additi played the character of HARMONY MODI in her show Zindagi Kahe - Smile Please. Harmony is a sweet, richy rich, fun loving youngest kid of her family. She has a pure heart, respects her daddu (her driver who's also her best friend) and values elders. There are two phases of Harmony: first her life in her parents' house and 2nd her life after she left parents to live with her Daddu. Initially she is seen as spoiled, cute, bubbly girl who encounters a shock on the day of her wedding. This disturbs her to an extent that she leaves her parents. After fighting so many obstacles on the way, she finds solace in her Daddu's house, her chauffeur who treats her as his own relation. Harmony learns to adapt to her new environment and accepts that family relationship is more important than money. Her solo scenes are so powerful in the show, especially when she was shown disturbed after wedding, walking on the road. She is very independent in her thoughts and doesn't let anyone manipulate her. She's a beautiful bubbly courageous girl. Though her role of Harmony was short lived due to the show's abrupt ending, still Additi didn't fail to mesmerize the audience with her innocence and cuteness as Harmony.

Additi played the character of a widow NANDINI in Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan. She is a warm, sensitive, passionate, calm and composed woman.
She has an intriguing personality. Anirudh, her husband is her world and she finds happiness in everything around him. Nandini is an obedient daughter who marries a person of her father's choice. She is also very doting wife, caring friend, loving sister in law, sweet aunt, dutiful daughter in law and she would have been an awesome mother. Though Nandini is silent, demure and apparently submissive, her real strength of character rises to the surface when circumstances so require it. At first she loses her husband and has a miscarriage. Then she meets a person who is her husband's lover and she is yet again broken and feels betrayed, this time by her deceased husband. Her grief is shown in multiple dimension in the show : when she is mourning for her husband, when she loses her baby and when she feels cheated by people she trusted. Nandini also fights her demons as she becomes jealous of her husband's lover when the family shows sympathy to her. Nandini quickly over comes this phase. The traditional beliefs in society are hurdle however she later learns to accept the truth about her life and makes an effort to move on. She is separated from her father and her longing to be reunited with him is very touching especially when she feels all alone. While on the surface Nandini seems to be vulnerable, she actually has nerves of steel.When she sets her mind to something, she ensures that it is successfully completed and done well. Even in her silence, Nandini makes her presence felt through the sheer strength of her character. Her playfulness and fun loving nature is shown in flash backs with her friend and her husband. Additi has done an incredible job as Nandini that the character is etched in the viewers' memories for ever.

Once more Additi takes up the role of a widow named GANGA. This is a completely different shade compared to the earlier character. It is for an episode of Yeh hai Aashiqui. Ganga's character is of a person who is a victim of social norms and orthodox thoughts of people. She is a very simple girl who has her own dreams. She loses her husband in an accident just after few days of her wedding and after that people of her village start blaming her for her husband's death. Her parents send her away to an Ashram so that they can marry off their other daughter without any problems and avoid questions from outsiders. Her life starts changing with Sid's entry in her life who comes there to write a story on Ashram people. Ganga starts believing in herself and starts to live her life again. So much so that she doesn't hesitate to flee away from the Ashram with her love and starting a new life of her own. Additi has played this role with perfection. The intricate part of the story is the way Ganga faces the obstacles, her sorrow, her helplessness, her fear, her insecurities then her courage to fight evil and move ahead in life. She remains as pure as the river Ganga. Every nuance and emotions of Ganga's character is brilliantly portrayed by her.

A highly stylized technique in the invocation of bhava has been developed in Kathakali. This is called Rasaabhinaya. Indian dramatic theory explain 9 kinds of basic expressions(Navarasam)

The outrage over audacious behaviour and disobedience, the fury caused by an offense, the rage evoked by disrespect and anger over injustice are all forms of Rowdra.

Rowdra also encompasses the fury of nature which is used to explain unexpected calamities and natural disasters.

It represents the state of calm and unruffled repose that is marked simply by the lack of all other rasas.

Bhaya is the feeling evoked while facing something that is far bigger and more powerful than oneself and which is dead set on one's destruction.

Bhaya is the feeling of being overwhelmed and helpless.

Dread, cowardice, agitation, discomposure, panic and timidity are all aspects of the emotion of fear.

Bhaya is also used to characterize that which causes fear.

The sympathy and fellow feeling that sorrow engenders in the viewer is also karuna.

Karuna can be of a personal nature as when one finds oneself depressed, melancholy and distressed.

Additi as Facinated Heer, Astonished Pihu, Marveling Harmony and Amazed Nandini

"Multitalented Diva ", the title itself says it all.

Additi is a powerhouse of talent. She is not only a talented actress but also an amazing dancer. Time and again in various occasions she has showed how amazing of a dancer she has become. Being a fashion designing student she is very good at art works. Not to forget about her recent obsession with cricket and her active participation in the 1st season of BCL (Box Cricket League). Additi can cook also. But in her words she likes to eat more than cooking.

"Dance as though no one is watching you."

Additi Gupta is a graceful and talented dancer. We've seen many of her performances which have always left us in awe and have mesmerized us. We can only look at her dance and watch in admiration how far she has come when it comes to her dancing skills.

Additi's first ever stage performance was in STAR PARIVAAR AWARDS 2008.She had performed with her co-star and the talented actress Shweta Tiwari on the songs "Ishq Hua" and " Ni mein samajh gayi" respectively. It was not an easy task to dance with an amazing dancer like Shweta Tiwari but, our Additi was no less. She tried her level best to match her and she was fabulous at it.

"I had a very bad stage fear and never thought I could perform on stage. One such instance that happened was during Star Parivaar Awards. It so happened that I had to share the stage with Shweta Tiwari who herself is a fabulous dancer and as soon as the track started I got completely blank and goofed up the entire dance. It was a disaster (smiles).That was the time when I decided never to step on stage again."

During her show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil she has performed in many award functions, reality shows, diwali functions on the respective channel .

Post Kis Desh Additi has done the dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha. This was Additi's 1st ever reality show & that too a dance reality show.

"Dance would work for me as a stress buster. And through this show I want to portray the true side of myself. I want people to know the real Additi."

Though she was evicted very earlier in the show but however much we got to see her dancing, she was very sportive and bravely approached each challenge with positive attitude. It was wonderful to see her explore new territory and get experience.

"I'd say that Zara Nachke Dikha has filled within me a lot of courage and I'm happy for that."

There are more performances of AG.

Earlier in the year of 2010 AG performed for GR8 Women's Award to classic songs and received lot of praise by media and viewers.

On Mera Naam Karegi Roshan show, in 2010 she performed with her co star Iqbal Khan gracefully.

100 Years of Cinema celebration in 2012, AG performed with her co star Gaurav Khanna.

She played role of Paarvati and danced for Star Plus Par Diwali Ka Jashn in 2012.

Her 1st performance in a Tv show other than her own serial was in Punar Vivah. She completely justified the song " Anarkali Disco Chali " with her beautiful dance moves.

"Yes, I'll be performing in Zee TV's Punar Vivah. I've no idea which song I'm going to be dancing on, but it's for a bachelor party. This is the first time I'm dancing in a show."

She has performed in " Hitler Didi " , Ganesh Chaturthi celebration on " Zee TV ", Diwali celebration of Star Plus, Sau Saal Cinema Ka etc.

Additi Gupta has won our hearts by showcasing her acting and dancing skills. But she is also very creative. She has another talent which has also stolen our hearts and that is - Sketching. She is amazing at sketching. Whenever she gets time she creates magic on paper using black pen or pencil. She says that drawing classes helped her to grow as a better artist and she holds this passion for sketching since her childhood days.

"As I had been a bit into fashion designing so I keep on scribbling whatever comes to my mind."

"Nothing inspires me but whenever I become bored of acting and my life becomes monotonous, then sketching is the only thing which breaks it. I sketch to feel better. "

We can see from her sketches how talented she is. She loves to draw a practical thing as well as draw from her imagination.

"I sketch in both ways; sometimes I replicate and then I make some changes according to my likes. Thinking and drawing is little difficult but I still try because this is where from the whole art and design comes. In colleges we used to do like that only. Sometimes just look at the wall and draw something on our own like scenery with a tree or a house. Now, it's a mixture of everything and that is how I have learned."

She has also showed her artistic side in her interviews where she has drawn Ganpati on Ganesh Chaturthi and wished a News Channel through her artwork on its Anniversary celebration.

Once her co-star and friend Harshad Chopda has said in one of his interviews regarding her creative side in artwork, "Sabse creative to Additi hai."

Regarding her fashion sense what can we say. She has an amazing fashion sense and her style knocks off everyone who happens to glance at her direction. Her creativity shows in every single thing she does. It could be fashion with choice of colour, latest trend in accessories and clothes or the attitude in which she carries herself - they all compliment so well.

Additi's list of talents doesn't end here. Believe it or not she cooks well too. She has said it in her interviews and showed her cooking skills as well.

"Yes, I do know how to cook."

Once she was alone at her home and she didn't shy away from trying her hands in various recipies. In one of her interviews during that time she has said,

"Actually since two days I am all alone at my place as my parents are out of town for 15 days. Wonder why, but I am not feeling like having outside food, so I am cooking my own food. Guess what, even my parents were shocked when I told them that I am cooking for myself."

When she used to live on her own she used to prepare her own meals.

Her skill in managing the kitchen has been appreciated by her co-stars too. During her show ZKSP she had cooked Dal for the whole unit and it came out really well and her co-star Kiran karmakar didn't shy away to praise her.

From her Interviews we can see how excited she is about preparing meals. Here is a quote from one of her Interviews during Sanjog Se bani sangini.

"From tomorrow, I resume my shoot and as I don't have food on the set, I will get up early in the morning and cook for myself, get my tiffin packed and will leave for the shoot."

We can say from this how good of a cook she is. We've seen her skills in the art of preparing food in some of her interviews in news channel where she has prepared for herself and for her co-satrs too.

This is not the end. There are more talents of our dear Additi which we were unaware of until she joined the 1st season of BCL (Box Cricket League). It was really pleasant shock for all of her fans.She was an active participant in it & has played some matches too for the team Baabu Moshayes. Her team had reached the final but due to her personal commitments she couldn't play that match.

"I was never interested in cricket, in fact when my parents used to watch match at home, I used to scold them as I feel its waste of time. I used to say that everyone can predict what's going to happen after every 2 balls. But when I was offered to play for BCL and when I started playing I actually realized that it's so much fun in this game. I love doing fielding and balling because batting is not my cup of tea. Bat hi itna bhari hota hai ki who uth ta hi nai mujhse (laughs). Currently I am playing for Box Cricket League for the team Babu Moshaaye and I stay back and work as per given command because our team has very good players."

She has not only played matches but also won the title of "Lucky Girl Of The Match" during the match of Baabu Moshayes V/S Jaipur Joshileys.

These are some talents that our Diva has shown in front of us till date. We are waiting to see many more from our Additi and we know she is multi talented. She'll definitely surprise us in future and take us through fun adventures.
