She may play the headstrong Bhoomi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, but off screen Resshmi Ghosh has a very different personality. "I wish I could be like Bhoomi at times," she says.

What's more, few know that the actress is engaged. Recently, she was spotted with a guy at an event in Bhaidas Hall, so when we ask about the man accompanying her, Ghosh confirms, "Yes, he's my fianc Amit Gupta. We've been engaged for the last three years but I haven't spoken to anyone about it."
Resshmi admits that it was love at first sight for her. "We met at Kishore Namit Kapoor's acting school three years ago. The moment I saw him I felt a connection. We started off as friends, began dating and then got engaged," says Resshmi.
Saying that Amit is her biggest support system, Resshmi adds, "I value the inputs he gives me about my acting. He's always telling me how good or bad I am. Recently, he watched me in an episode and immediately called to say how much he liked it."
Running his own private venture, Amit is also keen to get into acting. "He wants to do good work in television. He has previously done theatre and has a knack for acting. Maybe in the future we will get a chance to work together."

These days, Resshmi is basking in the increasing popularity of her character Bhoomi. "It's all thanks to Ekta Kapoor. She's the one responsible for making Bhoomi what she is today. I remember her telling me how this one role can make or break my career," says Resshmi.
Accepting that it was tough for her to get under the skin of her character, she says, "I struggled in the beginning. I kept meeting Ekta and trying to under the character better. Today, I have definitely improved but there's a lot more to accomplish."
Does she plan to tie the knot soon? "There's no hurry, but yes, marriage will definitely happen when the time is right. At the moment, I want to give Bhoomi my attention."😃
