Now, this is what happens when someone tries to get real on screen. In a bid to give a power-packed performance for a scene, actor Kartik aka Bhavishya strangled his co-actress Natasha Rana aka Dharaben in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan so badly that she was left gasping for breath.

Kartik plays a mentally-challenged person in the serial. He was supposed to throttle his mother in the scene. Initially, Kartik was reluctant to do so. The production people tried their best to convince him, but in vain. Then, Natasha came forward and convinced him that it was only a scene, and being a professional, he should do it.

Finally, Kartik agreed to do the scene. But in his enthusiasm, he throttled her so hard that the actress was left gasping breath. Recalls Natasha, "Poor Kartik was only doing his job. He got a little carried away and strangled me hard. I was screaming for help, but he thought I was acting my part. At one point, I thought I would die."

There were bruises on Natasha's neck and a doctor was called to the sets. The actress is still in pain and is on medication. Natasha adds, "Now, whenever there is a scene where I have to shout or speak loudly, I feel immense pain in my throat. Kartik is really penitent. I know he didn't do it deliberately and I do not hold any grudge against him

This kind of discussion about an actor, rather than a character, is STRICTLY NOT PERMITTED.

You can comment on the character he plays, but making statements such as these are insulting and defamatory. Please refrain from making such comments.
