A quote from ForbiddenLove's post a few days ago has still stayed with me.

" When someone treats you like an option, help them narrow their choices by removing yourself from the equation."

Upon reaching home today when Ruhi walked away with Ishita, Raman slammed the roof of the car in frustration and said:

"Kaise Bataaun, Mai Jaanta Hun Mai Ghalat Kar Raha Hun. Lekin is Ghalati Ko Karne mein Mai Majboor Hun. Kaash, Aap Kuchh Samaj Paate"

Raman, Kaash you understood that by valuing yourself so little, you have made yourself an option for Adi. Through the glasses of your guilt, you see yourself incorrectly as a failed helpless father. This tunnel vision takes away all your choices and leaves you with Majboori as the only option.

There are many ways to deal with this situation without loosing Adi. Once you value you, so will he.

I absolutely agree with what you said. & I loved how you, connected the saying, brilliantly into the context of Raman & Adi. "Once you value you, so will he".-100% agreed. It's basically like before wanting others to respect us, we first need to RESPECT ourself.

& omg yes, Karan was TRULY F-A-N-T-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. One of the MAJOR reason why, we were able to connect emotionally. Divyanka & Ruhi equally did a SUPERBLY A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job.

I agree. Raman is being so irritating and stupid. Is he Adi's father or is Adi his father. That boy is plain uncouth and devious. Can't Raman see it? And, what the hell did Ishita not mention that Adi wanted to indulge in drugs?! Shouldn't he be concerned as a parent and validate Ishita. This is frustrating to another level.

Raman's problem is he's just not happy with what he has. He's stuck in time may be. He has a wonderful wife, he doesn't give a damn. He has Ruhi, the daughter who loves him to bits, and he ignores her too.

Ruhi and Ishita need to leave Raman. He deserves to be mistreated by Ashok and family as punishment.

Yes Raman is so paralyzed in guilt, time and his own misery that even his son taking drugs doesn't get a reaction from him.

I actually think he needs a lot of alone time to be with himself, his feelings, his thoughts. Major reflection time is warranted. On second thoughts, He needs a good friend to unload to who will give to him straight. His own head is a dangerous place right now. A jaadu ki jappi wouldn't hurt either.

Quite honestly i do not completely agree that is was Raman's "Majboori"

A parents first job is to be responsible to set a good example for their children , and Raman failed in that department miserably by agreeing to humiliate a woman who has not done anything to deserve that kind of treatment.

True Raman needs to rise above his guilt for letting Adi go but that does not excuse him from his responsibility of being a father.

Knowing that what Adi asked him to do was wrong and still going ahead and doing it was a choice that Raman made and in so doing he set a bad example for Adi as well as himself for being emotionally blackmailed by a spoilt brat.

What will Adi take away from this ... That I can make my father dance to my tunes and get him to do anything I want.

What if the brat had asked Raman to push his wife under a bus ... would he done that..

Of course not... so there was no "Majboori" . Raman was asked to do something and if he had reacted to the demand by telling Adi no ..son I will not be manipulated by my child with an unreasonable demand.

Adi would have admired that more ,maybe he would not talk to Raman but that could be solved later.

But here the brat got away with the other two evil human beings gloating at the fact that .. See we can make him do anything.

Raman here has thought of only his need to be called a "Papa"... but to deserve that title one has to think like a father and what is in the best interest of the child first and foremost.

Raman was given a choice and he just made a wrong one.

really nice post!

u said it so right first he has to acknowledge his own importance, then Adi will, he has to make Adi realize that he is the good father, but first he has to proof it to himself that yea he indeed is a good father by making his daughter happy!

True.Why is he behind Adi to call him Papa? It isn't the first time Raman is meeting him. Majboori is the lamest excuse Raman has come up with. Normally, he is all for the right na? What changed? During the time when Raman and Shagun were married, he was the responsible one. The flashback showed him questioning Aditya about cheating in his exam. So, why is he so desperate?
