One of the most beautiful actresses of the Indian Television Industry, Sanaya Irani, popularly known as Gunjan of Miley Jab Hum Tum is no more single. Yes, she is dating her co - star in Miley Jab Hum Tum, Mohit Sehgal.
Mohit and Sanaya met on the sets of Miley Jab Hum Tum (MJHT). They started off by being good friends. Soon they became close friends and then their friendship blossomed into love. They used to spend time together on and off the shoots. Mohit and Sanaya used to spend most of their time in the actress' vanity van. The two used to get completely engrossed in the romantic scenes of the show (MJHT) even if it did not require too much intimacy.
Opposites attract and this is exactly what has happened in their case. Sanaya is not at all romantic whereas Mohit is a very romantic person. Mohit makes up for the romance that is missing from Sanaya's end.
The two have been into a relationship for five years now. It is said that Sanaya declared her love for Mohit on the last day of the shoot. Sanaya is 30 years old whereas Mohit is 28, which clearly proves that age has never been a barrier between them.
However, the lovebirds are in no hurry to get married right now. The couple have denied rumors of them getting married in the near future. Sanaya Irani was born on 17th September in the year 1983. She was born to a Parsi family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Sanaya did her schooling from Ooty. After her schooling, she pursued her graduation from Sydenham College. She wanted to go for MBA but then she stepped into the glamour industry on her mom's advice.
She has a younger brother and a sister named Kashmira Irani. Her family members reside in the U.S. Sanaya, one of the three siblings, moved to Mumbai to fulfill her dreams in acting.
The actress started off her career with modelling. Her first portfolio was taken by photographer - turned - actor Boman Irani. Sanaya tasted success through her show Miley Jab Hum Tum, aired on Star One. In this youth oriented College romance show, she played the role of an introvert, shy and an adorable girl next door named Gunjan. Gunjan is a very bright student as well as an excellent singer. The show basically deals with falling in love during college time and developing relationships for a lifetime. She bagged the lead role in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND), aired on the channel Star Plus. In this daily soap, she essayed the role of sweet, simple and bubbly Khushi opposite Barun Sobti who played the role of a rich and arrogant business tycoon named Arnav Singh Raizada. Innocent Khushi ends up getting married to a somewhat rude Arnav. Each time the two confront each other they get into quarrels. But ultimately, they fall in love. Barun and Sanaya shared a scintillating onscreen chemistry.
After impressing the audience with her acting skills, she picked the lead role in the family drama Chanchan wherein she played the role of a dog trainer. Chanchan worked in an Ashram. Chanchan is a modern girl who resides in Ahmedabad along with her family.
She meets Maanav (played by actor Farhan Khan later replaced by Anuj Sachdeva) at her best friend Poorvi's wedding. Despite the initial hatred, Maanav and Chanchan fall in love. They plan to marry against Maanav's mom's wishes. The show however did not do well and constantly got low ratings. Chanchan breathed its last in the month of September 2013.
Sanaya Irani New Show:
In spite of Sanaya's failure in the show Chanchan, she bagged the lead role in Color's TV's new show Rang Rasiya. Here, she will be seen playing the role of a young village bride named Paarvati who believes in love. Her path crosses with Border Security Force Officer Rudra (portrayed by actor Ashish Sharma, who was last seen as Ranveer in Rab Se Sohna Ishhq) who hates anyone who invests in the emotion of love.
The show will deal with how Rudra and Paarvati get attracted to each other and fall in love despite their ideologies being completely opposite. It is loosely based on William Shakespeare's famous English drama Othello and will revolve around the strong, passionate and aggressive love story of Rudra and Paarvati.
Rang Rasiya will get the prime time slot and is supposed to be replacing Bigg Boss Season 7 and will go on air on December 30th.
