Its been a long long time since I last made a post on this forum. The past consecutive blows by Starplus regarding Kanchi's pregnancy, her impending exit, the show not keeping pace with Staplus TRP standards and now its abrupt ending to make way for a supposed thriller replacement was, I guess, enough reason to put me off like many of Meri Bhabhi viewers. StarPlus double standards and consistent bias towards typical saas-bahu sagas has been the main reason I have decided to never watch any other Starplus show with the same interest and addiction as I did for Meri Bhabhi. Anyway I can do all the ranting and the #HateStarPlus morcha endlessly but that's not the real reason I made this post for.
The real reason is the single show that we'll all miss after 12 April of next month...the show which had the most unique of qualities in terms of acting, emotions ,screen play, drama, comedy. The show which was a fresh blend of what viewers like us actually want to see on Television, what truly resembles #NayiSoch slogans of an overrated channel and which unfortunately couldnt prove its true worth just because it was lacking in certain TRP levels.
After watching today's episode, I just realized how badly am going to miss it. This was the single show which made my whole family laugh at funny moments, anticipate the lead's next move at tossy situations, cry when Shraddha n kittu cried, rebuke Kamini for all those looks she gave to shraddha but laugh at the same time at her antics. I cannot forget how I left all my work midway at 8 pm to watch my two most favourite jodis. oh yes, I did like shranal more coz we all love peppy romances but that never meant I adored AnKi any less. To be honest , I had started watching this show because it was Kanchi's comeback show but the show had made me get all addicted to it, so much that at one point of time I couldnt think about anything else then ShraNal or Anki. I remember once when I was discusssing how much excited I was to see ShraNal's reunion dance with a friend and the way she gave me such confused glares at how I could talk about serials with this fascination. After all they were serials, they were meant to be watched for the purpose of taking you away from your monotonous lives into a world where the hero was this handsome hot dude who had looks to die for, and the heroine was such a stunning beauty that she looked perfect in every dress, their chemistry could set your tv screen on fire. All this was meant to be forgotten when the episode ends. Not for me as I kept on thinking for hours after the episode ended. Well all this was surreal and when reality dawned, the show was about to make way for another show, another world, another jodi, another dream.
I probably bored you guys with my ramblings...haina?? guys this show is one of the few shows that I have loved like crazy. I can bet am going to be all teary-eyed by the last episode, the way I did when NDTVImagine's Ramayana ended.😕😕 Its going to be a bereft feeling at 8 pm after 12 april...such was the magic that the show created with its undoubtable perfection. #HateYouStarPlus
