This is what I saw during Madhu's confession on holi.

Abhay was not the guy, Madhu started noticing around puberty, he was like the dance her Gran forbids, a part of her always.

Not some puppy love/ fantasy that would go away ... and can't stand some trials on the way

There was all those destiny's bits that were thrown at viewers by the Cvs, before they got twisted.

It has to be 'pack up for AK' not because VD is coming back but coz he wants to take revenge on his so called love jrmadhu in spite of knowing that she had no hand in his fathers death...AK-madhu is also one sided love... only madhu loves AK...it is only logical if madhu hates him for cheating her...in long run it is logical for a girl to fall in love with her husband if he is a good person and not cry over a bloody cheat...
