Hola peeps..
Quite a painful epi, isnt it? No? Hmm.. then i guess i have a different eye to look at the episode.
We have seen our 4 main characters and prospective couples go through a spasm of pains, that are quite different from one another. Yet, they were hurt at the place where it hurts the most. HEARTS.
First coming to the character that just blew me away, PARTH.. Ankit Gupta, Take a bow! He did not act today as Parth.. No.. He LIVED as Parth today.. A lost boy trapped in a bruised body, whose wuthering depth of pain, angst, turmoil refuses to leave him. His past that both HUNTS and HAUNTS him in the most cruel way. Guys, i watch too many shows and follow right from a top show to downright ghatiya show just because understanding and analyzing characters became a hobby. Trust me, Parth is one of a kind character... No.. I'M NOT EXAGGERATING. I have never seen a character on Indian Television who made it from rags.. The pain of coming from streets, the anger of discrimination, the angst of insults, well we can never analyze it because we are not used to it. However i found one character whom i can relate Parth to, after a long search. He is Jamaal of Slumdog Millionaire. I'm sure everyone must have watched this wonderful movie. As Parth sits in the classroom with his ususal session of Tai Chi with candles and smokes, he wasnt really able to concentrate. The art's effect of calming and keeping him in control failed epic-ly. And he broke down. Parth, when broken, or angry, or in pain, never gives it to some other person to get rid of it. No. He doesnt really want some other person to suffer like he does. Instead he shouts, he yells, he screams his heart out that wrench anyone's heart who sees it. That is what exactly happened to Sanyukta. Parth and Sanyukta, today looked like soulmates across the sands of time. And when i say soulmates, i dont mean lovers. I hope you know the difference between them.
This world is indeed very cruel. Even if you make all the efforts to let go of your past, start a new life afresh, live a life of dignity even after facing a punishment of more weightage than crime, the world will not spare you with their orthodox mentality, pre-conceived notions and failed guts. This is a harsh reality. We coming from a well-protected and well-nourished families' can never comprehend what Parth has gone through, hence we choose to ignore him, since it is out of our capabilities and ideas. And i have seen many PASTS on Indian Television which says, this character is grey, this character is right now like this because of this so-and-so past. And believe me, all the pasts are meaningless. All.. They are shown just to show some past.Just for the SAKE OF IT. . But when the past of Parth Kashyap is revealed i felt, YES, THIS IS WHAT PAST MEANS, and what's great is that, Parth is not grey.. He should be more cold, more arrogant and more attitude-baaz isnt it? Hell no. He isnt. He only tries to accept, forget and move ahead. This what i like about second leads and side characters.. THEY ARE EXPERIMENTAL. Not conditioned to act in a particular way...
Coming to Vidushi... Heavens.. I never thought, i'd feel for this vindictive, vamp-ish, vixen-like girl.. But i did. Her sheer acceptance of mistake, atleast to herself made me think that she is not a satan's child. She has humanity left in her. And her only link to that humanity is Parth. She did not tell him the truth not because she is ashamed.. no.. she didnt tell the truth because she is afraid of losing that only link to humanity. Vidushi needs Parth. Period. But but but.. the pure soul Parth is, he can never forgive her in a snap of finger. When i say forgive, not for the plotting against him, Parth still doesnt know it. I'm speaking about the public degradation of his character by her. In my post day before "back-stabs of friends and thankless emotions" i said one thing. "The meaning and motive of friendship is lost once your suspicion wins over your faith" Isnt that exactly what Parth told her today.. Since he cant get rid of her chipkoo genes, he accepted her friendship, with "just friends" tag. He'll always be there for her at the point of caring, but never forgiving. His scars are too deep to heal for that.
And then we have Sanyukta.. A woman will be ready to take the physical harassment but she can never take a finger on her character. What happened to Sanyukta is indeed feel-worthy. That itchy septic of blame, when your accused for "trapping" a guy and "gaining attention" is really worth drowning in chullu-bhar-paani. There is no surprise if Sanyukta's eyes well up with tears on this. She is a woman of FLESH and BLOOD. And flesh and blood for a woman are her dignity and honour, they are like glass-houses. which she protects with her life And on those glass-houses, Mr.Shekhawat, the bewda baap of MCP threw a stone cracking it. How insulting she must have felt?
At last, we have Randhir.. For all those who have thought that he felt jealous on seeing SaRth hug.. Think again. Are you sure? Common Guys, dont we know how Randhir looks in jealousy. We have done Ph.D on his expressions. See, randhir was NOT jealous seeing SaRth hug.. He was in PAIN. Yes, because he felt the NEED of someone in his life for the first time. Parth has Sanyukta, but who is there for him? Randhir SIngh Shekhawat needs a woman in his life. Why woman? Why not a brother? Well because, men protect and women nurture. That is the rule of nature. How many ages we forward, this basic theory remains unchanged. Hence they both need other. And that is how this world works. So Randhir needs a woman, capable of warmth, care and affection. That woman can be anyone, a mother, a sister, a friend, a lover. Since he doesnt have any, an enemy hi sahi.. Afterall Randhir doesnt know any other woman as close as Sanyukta. So RANDHIR NEEDS SANYUKTA. He taunts her, mocks her, hurts her only because he doesnt want to let go of her in any case, he doesnt want to let go of that little hope that is clinging to him in any case. Sanyukta said "even if you are the last person on this galaxy, i'd prefer being single than bestow my love on you" She is right. Because though Randhir realizes that he needs her, but he doesnt want to put any effort himself. Parth too needs Sanyukta, and she chose to help him and not Randhir only because Parth is helping himself too and his scars are deeper, older and scarier.. Even God helps those who help themselves, Sanyukta is a human. Bewda Baap is a huge eclipse on Randhir, unless he moves out of his shadow, his influence, he will not be able to reach Sanyukta. Even Sanyukta cannot see eclipsed Randhir. Unlike other love-stories there are no obstacles in SanDhir's story. There is only this eclipse on moon due to which moon though he can see venus cannot reach her and venus cannot see the moon at all.
