I'm posting my thoughts on today's episode here. My view may not always be pleasant and I don't want to spoil anyone's mood. But at the same time I value my freedom very much. So I decided to post a warning sign, for people who stumble upon this post, so that they know what to expect.
I'll post one of these symbols on top of my view on the episode everyday. So that people with delicate constitutions can avoid strong ones and read only pleasant ones

So Aastha and Aditi go to this dubious party while Shlok rests in the cottage. Will Shlok ever do that? NO. But, thats what they decided to show. He turned up at the party soon after. Chalo, forgive you this once, CVs! Aastha's dance was really cute. I guess Aastha can't help but try to please people around her. She doesn't get good vibes from Aditi but still she tries not to disappoint Aditi and she agrees to anything she suggests. She comes to this crazy party with her though she doesn't want to and she even dances at her insistence. Aditi on the pretext of showing Aastha a nice view of the pond, tries to push her into it, but to Aastha's luck Shlok decides to make an entrance. He finds this guitar lying there and he starts playing. Wonder why the party reminded Shlok of Swathi. May be he was a fun loving guy those days and he used to go to such parties with Swathi. Did something happened in one such party that caused misunderstanding between Shlok and Swathi? He is not agitated like before though, when remembering Swathi this time. Shlok realizes that everyone, including Aastha, is staring at him. The sight of Aastha saddens him further because he is not able to let go of his past though he wants to move forward with her and he feels guilty about making Aastha suffer because of his issues. He walks away from there so that he can deal with his problems himself, in solitude. Aastha follows him and offers her help. She reassures him that she will not leave him as long as they are married and will be with him like his shadow. In an earlier episode Aastha called him a black shadow in her life. But Shlok is not used to sharing his problems with anyone, so he leaves Aastha there and walks away.
Police crack down on the party exactly at that moment and Shlok is caught with Aditi clinging to his hand. Why is Aastha hiding behind the car when the police caught Shlok?! Will Aastha do something like that? NO. Chalo, forgave you ek baar phir, CVs! Aastha hid behind the vehicle so that Aditi could claim that she is Shlok's wife in front of the police🤪. After she hears that, she was about to run to them to claim that she is the real Mrs.Shlok Agnihotri and not that witch, when this crazy pops out of no where and drags her along with him in to the bushes. Aditi rushes Shlok to the cottage, when Shlok realizes that he left Aastha back at the party. Will Shlok do that normally? NO. But, I thought, may be it was too chaotic around him as well as inside his mind, so he reacted a bit late. See! I find reasons to forgive you CVs, baar baar phir! I make sense of even nonsense like Aditi.
So Aditi rushes Shlok back to the cottage and keeps talking nonsense. Shlok finally brushes her off and rings Aastha but the cell phone rings from inside the cottage. Shlok is relieved that Aastha has reached the cottage and he runs inside to check on her. He gets worried when he realizes that Aastha is not yet back and she forgot to carry her phone. He runs out calling out for her. Aditi is getting desperate with each failed attempt to separate Shlok and Aastha. She mixes some drops of sleep aid in a glass of water. Wonder what else she carries in her luggage - bridal attire, photo frame, acid, sleep-aid drops(?!). I never heard of drops that induce sleep, except for the drops that Shlok likes to drink. Well, I have a very poor knowledge of allopathic medicines anyway. There might be something like that and probably they sell it exclusively to sleep walking psycho murderers, on prescription. She tries to give this tainted glass of water and Shlok, who is already worried about Aastha missing, blasts her. He tells her to stop acting like his wife as there is no police around them and let him find Aastha.
In the bushes, the crazy dude riles up Aastha saying there is something going on between Shlok and Aditi. Aastha defends Shlok saying that he pretended to be Aditi's husband to get away from police. But the crazy rubbishes her and says that no sane person will bind himself for a lifetime in marriage just to save himself. Huh! Interesting. Why did Shlok bind himself to Aastha in marriage again? Crazy thinks that Aastha is drunk and hence is talking nonsense. On cue, Aastha starts her nonsense. She is irritated at how Aditi was claiming to be Shlok's wife. She takes her frustration out on the crazy dude. She gives him a few slaps imagining him to be Aditi. Crazy realizes that its risky to irritate her and stops talking bull shit.
Aditi follows Shlok into the jungle with a torch. This time Shlok grabs the torch from her and tells her that he doesn't need her help and he can manage alone. Loved what he said about Aastha here. He is now so experienced at saving Aastha that he knows how she reacts in such situations. He says that she doesn't even know that she is lost and once she realizes, she will panic and she will do something silly. The more Shlok shows how much he cares for Aastha, the more Aditi fumes. Hope she sends them on their honeymoon soon.
Jyothi roams aimlessly on the road alone in the night and some men chase her. It shows how dangerous the world is, especially for a woman with no support. Its easier said than done to fight against oppression on women. She runs from them and bumps into a guy in plaid shirt, something similar to what Abhay wears. But this guy seems to be a nice person. What if, this guy doesn't save Jyothi? She along with her unborn daughter, will end up dead and nobody will even know. What if, this person is another Abhay? She escaped one hell, only to fall into another. What if, Jyothi dies of hunger, because she doesn't know how to make a living. Even if she knows some craft, how many will find it in them to offer her a means to live.
Each individual may act like they have a heart and they really care, but as a part of society they can be really cruel and indifferent to the suffering of a person. I once saw this news bit on some local tv, where a man was holding a knife to a young lady's neck and he was threatening to kill her. This journalist/cameraman and all the people around them were merely watching the drama unfolding before them. The reason why this guy wants to kill that woman is because she jilted him. He keeps on bad mouthing her for a long time while he was being recorded by this tv crew. Then finally, he slit her throat and the girl died live. Not even one person helped her in any way. I'm sure a lot of those watching this drama might be empathizing with the killer and not the victim. That's how callous the society is.
Jyothi is lucky to find a good soul to help her. This person, Siddharth, is like a male version of Aastha. He acts as if he has a gun in his pocket when in reality its just a harmonica. This reminded me of the time Aastha pretended to be the daughter of a police officer when she felt that the autowala wasn't noble. He is messy and unorganized just like Aastha. Its interesting how his name means the same as Avdhoot, "enlightened". His room is filled with posters of beautiful girls who are barely covered. I'm sure Jyothi would prefer to look at these girls any day than to look at Abhay's stupid face. Sid happens to be a freelance journo. Shlok has a thing against journos who ask uncomfortable questions. Will he lock horns with Shlok in future, when Shlok decides to protect his baba's shady activities? That would be interesting.
Sojal sees Anjali pacing in front their bedroom. She imagines that Anjali is restless because she misses Aastha and she hates her more if that is possible. She is similar to Aditi in her unjustified hatred towards Aastha. Just that Aditi is a hardcore murderer and Sojal is a small time pickpocketer. Don't know what Aditi's situation is growing up, but ever since she tried to murder Aastha, her character became unredeemable for me. Sojal, on the other hand, tries to put Aastha in a difficult situation mostly but never plans to endanger her life. If only Varad stops comparing her with Aastha and Anjali treats her with a little more compassion, she would be as good as most people. She is not a bad person. She takes care of every person in that house, but nobody asks her if she needs anything. She is not even allowed to go out with her husband once in a while because she has a kid to take care of. Thats Agnihotri tradition. Varad asked her to get him water in the middle of the night and she was about to do that for him. But Aastha indirectly made her realize that the work she is doing for him and others in the family will never be appreciated. Without appreciation and rewards, there will not be any motivation. Why should she do what they want? Why should she mould herself to suit their needs? Anjali wants her to act like perfect Agnihotri bahu. Niranjan wants her to give him a male heir. Varad wants her to do all the things his parents want and then also become Aastha's clone. Agnihotris got a maid servant, cook, care taker, baby making machine. What did she get out of this marriage except for false prestige? Sojal says that after Aastha leaves, she will be the only bahu in the house and people will realize her importance. Hope they do realize her importance and give her the due respect, or else she might be forced to follow Aastha's footsteps and threaten them with divorce.
