Res for comment on Ch-33
Edited:I think I will start with where the chapter made the most impact for me personally. Sex / love-making is integral to romance - that much is certain and whatever level of detail an author chooses to go to, it cannot be denied that the leads making love and everything leads up to and from that moment, defines a big part of the story,That said, not many have the art or the ability to write love making with enough detail to make it real and erotic but embellishing it with enough emotion(or lack of) and words to keep it from becoming crude. Which is probably why many (yours truly included) refrain from explicit scenes - and in my mind rightfully so - after all what doesn't come naturally (pun intended) must not be ruined for the readers :)But Sandhya - YOU have no such problems. If anything the last chapter just cemented your ability to handle the subject of sex tastefully - maintaining the passion, the thrill and yet, never once slipping into a word, a line or an emotion that would make any reader wonder if there was any need for the scene. So bravo and then some. If you crossed standards I had previously with Ch-32 - you set new ones in Ch-33.Unfortunately, all my enjoyment of their kitchen encounter was because of the author and her skill. The protagonists actually left me slightly sad and more than slightly peeved. For someone who was apologizing for not remembering about protection, Mr. Raizada effing (quite literally) went and did it all over again - making me wonder if he was ever serious about the apology. And Khushi - she actually disappointed me a little. And no I am not judging, I am just sad that she didnt have the sense to at least not repeat the act when a girl - especially a smart, educated, forward thinking, wordly wise girl like Khushi, should always know better. So many women fall prey to this and every time I hear of another one - even in fiction, it breaks my heart into a million pieces (and makes me wonder if I am just unfortunate to have never known passion strong enough to make me forget all about the consequences :P)Honestly - a part of me is almost sure that the prologue was not Khushi - but that doesn't make me any less worried for what is coming their way. And which reality barging into their lone time like a noisy chopper through the snow - my worry just spiked up several notches.I sincerely hope everything is okay with everyone else. And for the first time selfishly so, so that this couple that has just taken the first big leap, is given the time to savor and bask in its afterglow.
