There was a time we had Terrible Tuesdays (Ben track) but today was a Terrific Tuesday in my opinion. 😊
So, without much ado, here is my take 5:
(1) How many days start with an Akdha scene... That itself was enough to make it a top 5. However, I liked it also for two specific dialogues of Jalal: 😳
- The line where Jalal tells Jodha that he promises he will always believe her; I think this shows how much his trust is strengthened in her and foreshadows no more MU between these two
- When he said that you end slavery in the harem and me in the sultanate, there was a beautiful balance between the Jodha and Jalal. It shows how Jalal is going to take Jodha's advice and make it his own to end slavery in the sultanate. This will being me to my second take.
(2) Jalal in action on slavery: Here is where I think Jalal gets credit ... Jodha's idea always starts at home, e.g., in tha Tasleem track it was about one girl, but he brings a grander vision to it, e.g., abolishing child marriage. The same is happening with slavery. Jodha sees at in the harem, but Jalal wants to eradicate it from the sultanate. Liked to see him in disguise with Atgah Khan and seeing the impacts of slavery first hand. It is not like he took action just because Jodha Begum told him- he looked it into himself. 👏
(3) Sujamal: I am actually excited about this track now. It looks like he want go in disguise as a woman before the jashn so that means that Sujamal will not die saving Jalal.😃 I think he will thwart the attack and then go into hiding in the palace to find out who is supporting Abul Mali. I also love Sujamal's concern for his sister. He tried everything to help Jodha- Jalal by sending the letter to Atgah Khan- I can't believe Atgah Khan told Shareefudin. 😕
(4) Great to see our usual cupids Hamida Bano and Salima back. It is always pleasant to the eyes. Three things I liked about the scene:
- Hamida Bano gave some many new dresses to Jodha- for Jalal to stare at Jodha in her new attire 😉 ; kaash she thought to give her son some clothes as well
- How when Hamida Bano said she sees both Jodha-Jalal enjoying each other's company; Jodha blushed beautifully
- The conviction with which Jodha says that Jalal gives her no chance for shikayat
(5) I absolutely loved the Akdha scene and here is why:
- The casualness of Jalal telling her to wear the Green dress
- The Shove resurfaces- but Jalal seems to be no longer bitter; earlier, he used to say it happened because she says one thing but wants another; today he said it was because he went too forward without her permission- I think it got the needed reaction: Jodha felt very bad
- I am glad Jalal is not slowing down as per Hakim Mirza's advice and is extremely persistent on finding out why Jodha saved him... He knows, but just wants to hear it from her
- And here is the best part: When Jalal says he is ziddi and he will get it out of her- I know he will never fail. And also, I have a feeling the jashn attack attempt will play an important role in propelling Jodha's feelings out. 😆
On a side note, I am not sure if I am madder at the baandhi you interrupted today or the one that interrupted the aarti scene.😡 Just kidding.
With Sujamal, Raja Bharamal, Abul Mali, and Sharifuddin in the mix, the jashn will be anything but normal ... which we are used to. 😆However, I am excited that this jashn I feel strongly Jalal's zidd will win and Jodha's feelings will come out. 😃
