Jyothi is suffering in her inlaws house and Shlok is wallowing in his long lost puppy love. Life is more valuable than love, you idiot!š” He comes home drinking, late at night, because he is reminded of his past again. The ghost on her nightly stroll hums that stupid song and he chases the shadow but finds nobody. He thinks he is seeing and hearing things because he is under the influence of alcohol like on V-day. Stupid Shlok! Can you wake up from your stupid slumber and do something for your sister?! Stupid!š”
In the morning, all the women in the house gather around the dead Tulsiš„±. Aditi's eyes must have some kind of black magic. The Tulsi plant shrivelled away just because she was not allowed to light diya near it.
Shlok is pulling all shirts out of his closet because he cannot find a shirt of his liking. There are some shirts on the table in Aastha's part of the room. They are not to his liking! He pulls out the blue shirt and he starts losing his buttons over the lost button. Aditi pops out of no where asking him why he is getting so worked up.He tells her that he is getting late for meeting and the only shirt he liked doesn't have a button. Aditi generously offers to sew the button for him but he bluntly refuses. Aditi starts acting in that over familiar, chaddi-buddy way and Shlok just gives her a perplexed look. She says that Shlok always had a short temper since childhood and he pushed her into a pond once when he was a kid. But Shlok pushed Aastha into the pond in the jungle! Was Aditi following them in the jungle too?! Or did someone else follow them in the jungle ? Is someone using Aditi's madness to their advantage by planting these incidents in her head? Anyway, by the time she gets the needle and thread, Shlok picks another shirt for himself, because he doesn't like her acting too chummy with him. But she doesn't get the message. She is like chewing gum stuck to the sole of your shoe, hard to get rid offš¤¢. She starts sewing his button anyway uncaring of the fact that Shlok is irritated. He is uncomfortable at her overtures but he doesn't react much probably because she is an outsider. He reacts only when he sees that Aastha is uncomfortable with Aditi's extra closeness. He quickly pulls over another shirt and walks off with Aditi running after him still until Aastha comes into the room. Aditi complains to Aastha about Shlok's insolent behavior. She labels her behavior as frienship. Aastha didn't seem to think so.š³
Rani comes to the room and tells Aastha that they have to book the new gas cylinder because they are going to run out of gas in two days. I thought Agnihotri's are self-sufficient in gas department. Back to the point, in this matter too, Sojal seems to be playing her games in order to get one up on Aastha and Aditi is observing from the sidelines. So after Abhay, its now Aditi's turn to make use of Sojal's dumbness. Aastha was about to book the cylinder when Sojal comes and starts showing her 'zaubaigiri'- "you can't get a simple task done! I have to do everything in this house! blah blah!" She delegates the task Anjali gave her to Aastha, to get a file from Shlok's car.
Shlok is on phone so Aastha decides to look for the file herself in his car. When he is done with his phone call, he sees Aastha looking through his stuff. When there is an opportunity to fight with Aastha, he grabs it with both hands. He asks her why she doesn't allow him to live in peace. Is he uncomfortable with the guilt he is feeling about the button issue? Aastha tells him that she is 50% partner and she has rights in the company as much as him and she works from home blah blah blah.𤢠She asks him if he doesn't trust her and he says he doesn't because she can do anything! Aastha agrees with him and says that one cannot trust anybody these days. Shlok thinks about it.
Shlok gets a blank call when he is on the way to office. When he calls back, he hears the same tune as ringtone. He doesn't panic though. He is thinking about it and is determined to find out who is behind all this. He reaches the office and tells his new assisstant to find the details of the number. Did he fire Suresh because of the sloppy investigation in Avdhoot issue? This new assisstant better be careful because Shlok's mood swings are unpredictable. He mutters that if Swathi is behind all this then his fury knows no bounds. Shlok remembers that all this is happening since the day he met his friend Anshul and he calls him over to his office to question him. He tells his friend that someone is trying to remind him of Swathi all the time. He asks him if he knows about Swathi's whereabouts and the friend says that she might have been dead. Shlok doesn't get emotional.
Has Shlok moved on or not?! He was acting like a devdas on V-day and now he is acting unemotional. Did he ever love Swathi? Does he love Aastha? In all this interaction with his friend, Shlok actually looked more stupid and clueless than shrewd. Why is he directly questioning his friend? Shouldn't he be careful about not trusting everyone? Same thing happened with Abhay in Avdhoot case. Shlok acted stupid. So Shlok was angry about Swathi leaving him and he married Aastha to prove it to her that someone can actually love him? So all this is a revenge against Swathi and nothing more?! That's dumb. Why only Aastha? He could find some other girl who is more easy to get. This confusion around Shlok's character is making it lose the charm. š³
There is this cute bonding scene between Aastha and Anjali. Aastha wants to learn to sew the button and she goes to Anjali to ask for her help. She doesn't ask Aditi or Sojal. So she trusts Anjali more. Aastha identifies good souls instinctively. She may not even know that she is judging people but she does. She just prefers to interact with people she likes that fight with people she finds disagreeable. So Aastha asks Anjali's help to sew the button on Shlok's shirt. Anjali asks her mockingly, what she did growing up? Aastha says that she just had lots of fun and never worried about a thing growing up. She adds that she never thought that life would be so tough after marriage. Anjali doesn't say anything but its evident that this girl has managed to break through the walls she built around her heart, letting the sunshine slip though the cracks and warm her heart. She patiently teaches Aastha how to sew the button putting up with her clumsiness. Aastha finally manages to sew the button and she gleefully holds Anjali's hands and thanks her by calling her "aayi". Anjali has been pushing away people for so long and her own family has stopped showing concern or affection towards her because of her cold behavior. But its in Aastha's nature to never give up on people. Anjali becomes uncomfortable with this show of affection but she doesn't push her away this time like she did long back when Aastha tried to make Anjali sit on a stool for puja when she mock-sprained her ankle. All this bonding is being watched by someone from behind the wall.
On the whole, episode was good but not great. I could not appreciate that Aastha is "working from home" while Shlok goes to officeš¤¢. I don't like the dumbification of Shlok eitheršš¼. I just don't get it. I'm missing Niranjan. Aditi is interesting. Liked Anjali-Aastha scene and Shlok-Aastha-Aditi scene. Welcome back Sojal sans Jaya.
