Would love to play Madhubala or Meena Kumari in a biopic: Sonakshi Sinha

Mumbai: From action drama to period films, Sonakshi Sinha has tried various genres and now she hopes to be part of a biopic.

"Right now I am not doing any biopic, but if given a chance I would love to portray an actress. Be it Madhubala or Meena Kumari, somebody who has had a very illustrious career," the 26-year-old said at the Jehangir Art Gallery here Wednesday.

Sonakshi was here to inaugurate artist Neeraj Goswami's painting exhibition.

From action drama to period films, Sonakshi Sinha has tried various genres and now she hopes to be part of a biopic.

Seen in hits like 'Dabangg' and 'Rowdy Rathore', she is currently working in 'Action Jackson' and 'Tevar.'

The 26-year-old is also doing 'Anjaan', her first Tamil film.

Biopic on Meena Kumari would be incredible because she had a life full of turmoils. Madhubala is the most legendary Bolly actress ever so that would be a treat.

Who's play Kishor Kumar though? :o Aamir could pull it off but would be play second fiddle to Sona?

Meena Kumari's would be filled a lot of drama.

I assume Madhubala's would be more romantic and would give the hero decent role too as Kishore Kumar played a big part in her life

Please Sonakshi. Take up some good scripts

If not Meera Kumaari, Sona can definitely do a biopic on Madhubala. She has the looks & more importantly, the talent to go along with those lovely looks of hers.

But more than that it is my deep wish to see her in a HISTORICAL. A swash-buckling , romantic ,old-world historical because I think she'll SHINE in it! 😳

After Lootera I've great liking for Sonakshi. Give her a few good scripts & she can be the next Vidya Balan- A very, very good & beautiful actress to break that divide neatly between off-beat & commercial movies & make them her own. ⭐️

She really needs to put a stop on this stupid action jackson type movies first and definitely can take up these biopics if anything is coming up...She is the only actress in current lot who has got nice diction without being sounded like a bansi...what would stop her to not take up such useless films ?? she is being so wasted in these mindless movies...a good script and some priorities really needed to be set for her career..

Completely agreed.👍🏼

Sonakshi hasn't signed a single film after Lootera's release. Tevar and Action Jackson both were signed early last year.

I hope she selects something good
