Can a young actor please steal Parineeti's thunder for a change?

Is anyone else getting tired of this whole Parineeti supposedly stealing her fellow actor's thunder? I was just reading the critics' reviews for HTP and honestly..90% of the tweets (by critics) are along the lines of Parineeti yet again steals everyone elses thunder..or how she's the best part of the film. I like watching Parineeti onscreen, but I can say this without even watching HTP that Parineeti is yet again working in her comfort zone. She does roles which are more or less similar and then we all know what kind of roles yrf/Dharma have to offer anyway.

She's doing great for herself, but this whole thing where none of the younger actors (considering she has only worked with them thus far) are acknowledged as much as her in all of her films..is getting somewhat annoying. While we still have to see whether or not Sid was actually better than Parineeti in HTP. I for one would like to see for myself. I have no hopes of hearing Aditya Roy Kapoor doing better than her either in Dawaate Ishq because I'm pretty sure once again, YRF hasn't offered her anything extraordinary.

I expected this in HTP. Sid appears more subdued, laid back & Pari is her usual loud self. Ofcourse this is just from the promos & I could be wrong. She does not need at this time to work out of comfort zone as her movies seem to be doing well. So we will see more of this in the future as well. Frankly I am already bored of her same old roles, so will only hit theatres to watch her if she decides to do something more suble/challenging.

😆 She's a good actress with amazing screen presence but even I'm annoyed with all this "Parineeti once again stole the show" rant. It doesn't seem like critics noticed Sidharth at all in HTP. I really hope he surprises audience with his acting and at least they will notice him. I really like him and want him to do well acting wise! I think his eyes are his biggest strength! Here's hoping Sid shows improvement in this movie and gets noticed by audience at least!👍🏼

see...i would actually not mind that if she really was THAT good in the film...i seriously doubt she is that good considering how overrated she was in Ishaqzaade and SDR...i genuinely felt bad for sushant and arjun because they were infact, just as good (if not better IMO) in their roles...

i really dunt see how she "overshadows" her costars...that concept just goes over the head for me...

i just dunt see all those "scene stealing" level acting chops...i wont say shes bad...for me shes somewhere between abv average and good...but "scene stealing" ??? i just cannot see it for the life of me...

Well let her definitely steal the glory from SidM that guy can't act for peanuts.. But I think in her age group Kangana is a really good actress and she would steal thunder from her if YRF and other people take her in their movies for a change.. this is such a lobby.. I feel bad for Kangana.. she's a great actor and I saw her round table with Masand she speaks so good.. Like so so good.. I think she took English lectures or something her English has improved by miles and she talks sense all the time.. I love that girl..

You are right. There are only so many roles where women stand out! Kudos to her but the fact remains I am bored On a positive note, she may have a challenge in KillDill as Veer is as talented as her if not more & can be louder than her😛😆

Yeah, but what fun is it when you're so repetitive with your work? I'd be more impressed if she overshadowed her male costars every time while trying something new.

Plus, the actors she works with are young themselves. It's somewhat discouraging when THEY try something out of the box in a film with Parineeti, while Parineeti is just working on an extension of all the previous characters she has already portrayed. Not to mention..she has an upperhand with having yrf as the production house in 99% of her films. A few years down the line, her contemporaries may have surpassed her in terms of versatility and we'll probably be complaining how Parineeti never worked outside of yrf/dharma to prove her worth.

and, I watched Ishaqzaade without any biased whatsoever..😆 and I genuinely liked Arjun's performance more. I didn't quite understand how Parineeti stole his thunder in that film because I didn't see anything crazy extraordinary from her side. As you said, I really couldn't figure out where the scene stealing acting chops were.

I agree. I only found her really good in ishaqzaade, she was not good in SDR and neither Ricky movie. Her character in HTP seems quite similar to her character in SDR. Hope she challenge herself and do more of a serious and intense role.

Anyways she's a good actress, hopefully she will challenge herself.
