I'm posting my thoughts on today's episode here. My view may not always be pleasant and I don't want to spoil anyone's mood. But at the same time I value my freedom very much. So I decided to post a warning sign, for people who stumble upon this post, so that they know what to expect.
I'll post one of these symbols on top of my view on the episode everyday. So that people with delicate constitutions can avoid strong ones and read only pleasant ones

Danger Caution Pleasant

Shlok is mighty pissed with baba's decision of giving Aastha 50% ownership. He rushes home and goes straight to his den, which was in shambles. Aastha's curiosity draws her to the room but she decides to not poke her nose in his matters and goes to baba's study to discuss 50% ownership. Shlok follows her to the study and tells her to get out of his baba's den. he asks if she wants to bring about changes in it as she became the owner of the company and the newly acquired position got to her head so much that she couldn't wait till morning? He points his finger at her and tells her that she doesn't have the status to talk to 'his baba' and tells her to leave. All his dialogues seem loaded, but i'm tired of guessing. Niranjan enters his neatly arranged den and was pleased to see his son and DIL at each others' throats.

Varad enters his bedroom and sees Sojal miserable. Sojal vents out her frustration and puts the questions that always make him uncomfortable.

-"Why does baba not care for Varad and treats Shlok with so much love?"
-"Just because Varad is not the favorite child, she has to suffer humiliation everyday."
-"Why doesn't Varad demand his own rights and his wife's rights?" "Why do they always get 'foster' treatment?"
-"Why is Aastha treated with so much respect inspite of her recent deeds?"

Each one of her questions is valid. But Varad who never raises his hand to wipe his wife's tears or brush off her insecurities, promptly raises his hand to hit her just because she asked the most uncomfortable question - is he a 'sautela' child?

After so many years of marriage, Varad keeps secrets from his wife. He lets her be treated worse than a servant by his parents(are they really his parents or only one of them is his real parent?!)He doesn't demand the rights of his wife and child. He says he is happy with whatever he has. Hmmm. Want to see more of Varad, Sojal and Kavya sans Jaya.

Aastha ponders about giving the 50% share back to Niranjan. But when he tells her that she is like his daughter, she doesn't say a word more and keeps it. Anjali tries to push Aastha towards Shlok more and gets the mattress removed. She taunts her saying she doesn't have a problem staying in Shlok's home without any proper relationship but doesn't have any shame in enjoying their riches. Aastha tries to give back 50% share again but Anjali says Sahib doesn't like to take anything back. So again Aastha keeps it. When Aastha uttered the word "self-respect", I almost fell to the floor laughing.

She feels that all the riches don't have any value since she doesn't have Shlok's love. ummm... really! Didn't she say a few minutes back that she doesn't care to know anything about him, when she found him agitated in his secret den? I would like to ask Aastha the same question Anjali asked Aastha - what right does she have to stay in their house if she doesn't care about the person who is the link between her and this house?

Shlok goes to Aastha's room and promises her to make her life miserable so that she will realize that her actual place is in the kitchen and not in office. its the nth time we are hearing the same thing. He wakes her up in the morning and reminds her the same thing again. I loved these two scenes but i feel the story needs to move ahead. Aastha for the nth time says things that she doesn't really believes in that she does her chores in the home because she enjoys doing them and not because of someone else's force and she is nobody's servant etc etc.

Overall it is a very good episode for me but felt repetitive.

Agree rekha. If you remember my post a couple of weeks back, I had pointed out the same thing, that although the web is thickening around aastha, yet the story is really no progressing. We are going in loops with a small step, here, a small gesture there, sprinkled with ashlok masala etc.
The prob is as soon as you make a post like this, everyone comes telling you how good the show is. I think u will agree with me that despite criticizing, we love this show. For loving and enjoying the show, it does not mean we have to praise and justify even the things which are not going the right way, or pointing out something "not admirable" abt the show does not mean we are hating it.

good one rekha...and thanks for the signs too😊coming to the story...i agree with the fact that the story needs to move forward...too many in the past moments stuck where they were months ago ...time to move forward and I would like to see more of varad sojal kavya ...their past ,his past and also many more...but without Jaya.Shlok and Astha need to take their relationship to the next level...bickering and fighting and ego has and is the only fact between them from the beginning until now...let the doors open and lets see some thing new...just my pov buddy

i remember that. i waited all these days but still the story is right there.

there are a lot of members who don't feel like telling their views here because they fear they will be branded as bashers. there are a few who act like they have extra privilege to decide what is "negativity" and what is "positivity". before saying anything against a member, it would be nice if people check their history on IF. i don't think that my views are a benchmark of some sort, but i have every right to express my displeasure at things related to the show, and so do you and everyone on this forum.
