Aunty, I don't even know how to respond you. I have lost all my energy, enthusiasm and willingness to do anything. All I feel is voidness. All the fond past memories sullied. I can only acknowledge that you warned us over time and again but I was in a daze at that time. I can't even justify myself.

Good! Let us all leave this abysmal show and this pathetic forum, and look for something else.

I have completely given up on socials, which limits my choices a lot, but I am thoroughly enjoying Aladdin on SAB TV, with Siddharth Nigam and a delightful Djinn. It is kiddie stuff, but most entertaining. I am also going to look at Vikram aur Betaal, on & TV, with Aham Sharma playing, to my considerable relief, Vikramaditya and not the Betaal!😉

Even I was humiliated yesterday and turned hostile towards Rohit. But when I calmly analysed the situation today, I really found no point to hate him such that and even did a post here. I agree with everything you have said. I am no longer watching Porus and that's for sure. I will wait for Rohit to come back again.

Don't let all this stuff get you down so much, my dear Sweety. This too shall pass. Rohit is as good an actor as he ever was, and he will get something really worthwhile soon.

Meanwhile, I have selected two other shows, which I have listed in my post above to Vaishnavi. The first is real fun and the second sounds hopeful.

At least you won't get too involved with anyone in it! Too much attachment, as the Lord Buddha said. is the cause of a great deal of pain. But it happens, and there is nothing to be done about it.

Try and shake it off as soon as you can, child.🤗 You must not let this disappointment sap your will to carry on normally. Nothing, no one, is worth that.

I am really sorry Aunty but I don't have the guts for another show! At least not now! I would like to concentrate on studies now as my classes are going to start in a week. I would remain in touch through PM with everyone! 😃

I would keep that in mind Aunty. Thank you so much 🤗 To be honest with you, for quite a time now, I was mainly following the show by written updates online and I was watching it only if they were some eventful or consequential scenes on Alexander's side. So I should be able to severe all ties with it quite efficiently. Moreover, my classes have already started this week. Though the full program and cursus begins only on 15th October. For my part, I am rewatching some great scenes from the Pakistanese serial called Zindagi Gulzar hai The poetic Urdu couplets and the genuine and effortless play of the actors are such a delight to watch and reminisce. I am also listening to my favourite boy group's music. They just had their comeback recently and they are creating a sensation everywhere, especially in the Asian countries and US. Initially they were just hired in by an agency at the verge of bankruptcy in South Korea. They really started from the bottom and from nothing and now here they are, giving a speech at the 73th UN General Assembly, being the good will ambassador of UNICEF, and actively participating in the campaign of #YOUTH2030 and GENERATIONUNLIMITED. Those are the moments when you really feel honoured to call yourself their fans. Their songs always hold strong messages especially toward the youth, and different social issues toward which they are confronted now a days. Some of their songs were even censured and cut out of broadcast because they came from a small company and there is nothing appealing in them as individual plus their songs really voice out some controversies and polemics. Now everyone wants a bite of them 😆

That is an excellent resolution, my dear Vaishnavi. Mind you stick to it!

I often used to wonder how you youngsters managed to post so frequently all day in this forum even while having a work day. I never told you that, but I always felt that it was a major waste of time and energy. You were each playing off the others and it was a never ending stream of posts. It used to make me feel tired just to look at them!

When I was working, I never watched any serials - some of which were available in North America and Europe with a satellite dish - as mine was most decidedly not a 9 to 5 job. It was far better that way

Now it is good that you have given up on this frantic exercise, and will not be spending yet more time lamenting about how far Alexander has fallen, but will instead focus on more worthwhile things.

All the best for your studies.

Good, Sweety, but you are kidding yourself, my dear. You sounded so depressed that I don't think it will be so easy for you to switch off Rohit's Alexander, like turning off a light. You are too emotional and you were too hung up on him. Your posts used to almost scare me. And then I had no idea that you are so very young.

The thing is not to try to switch off this obsession, but to shift to other shows and to music, as you have mentioned, so that the bitter taste fades out of your consciousness. It is rather like falling out of love, which is not easy, but can be done, and done surprisingly quickly.

Take care of yourself, and be a good girl.

Affectionately,

Shyamala Aunty

Not good at all, my little Manasi. Sometimes I think I am never going to well again, even leaving out my rheumatoid arthritis.

But I saw this thread because there were so many email alerts in my inbox, and once I got here, I thought I should help my young friends get over what sounded like a nightmare. I had no precise idea what the problem was, as I do not watch the show, but I could piece it together from the lamentations. I don't know if my posts really helped them, but I did my best.

Moving on to more pleasant things, I was just reading the latest chapter of Lashy's HBAS, and it was the first halfway bearable instalment in quite a while. Then I am watching Aladdin on Sony SAB and intending to begin with, don't laugh, Vikram aur Betaal on & TV. That will be more than enough for me!

Do stay in touch, child, for I too miss you.

Affectionately,

Shyamala Aunty
