Mar 1 (Thrus):

Divya relates the saree incident to her brother Sreethar. Sreethar says if Rukku does something there must be a reason behind it and tells his sister not to repeat this to anyone in any circumstances, and they leave. (Seriyana muthal 😕 )

Saro and Devi are in the temple for the pall abishegam and pooja. After pooja they sit down and talk about the baby. Saro tells Devi she is still doesn't want the child and Devi tells her that Saro should not speak like that. They show the inspector's daughter and wife at the temple. Devi is upset that there is not even one child at the temple today, and they have to give the milk to at least one child. Uma (the inspector's daughter) comes near them and devi is happy to see her. she talks to Uma and asks where her mom is and the mom comes looking for Uma. they talk and devi asks permission to give Uma some milk. Uma drinks the milk given by Devi and everyone is happy. Uma's mom tells them about her family and the problems they are facing because her husband is works in the customs office (First meetingleye kudumba kathai ellam sollirvanga!).Saro invites Uma and her mother to their house and Uma's mom tells them she will come anothe day and they leave.

Rukku brings vethalai to RS and RS asks why she is bringit it. Rukku asks if he doesn't want her to bring it for him. RS tells her is not like that but Jeeva is watching their every move and he doesn't want any more problems. Rukku tells RS that Jeeva will not show her face for at least a week because of the saree problem. RS and Rukku discuss that they have to do stuff like this to Jeeva so that she will be afraid to interfere in their affairs. RS also tells Rukku that Jeeva should know the problems are caused by Rukku so that she will be afraid of Rukku and at the same time no one else should know that the problems are caused by Rukku (what conniving minds 😡 ). Rukku tells RS not to worry as she will take care of everything. Screen freezes on RS face. THODARUM.

March 2 (Fri):

Babu's wife brings some sout to Janani who is sitting in the yard. she tells Janani to drink the soup as she has not eaten all day. Janani as usual throws a fit about everyone only being concerned about her and not vijay. Babu's wife tries to advise Janani but to no avail. She gets angry and walks out. Babu asks his wife why she is so concerned about Janani. She tlls her husband that when the baby is born, both giri and Janani will be too busy with their baby, and they will adopt Vijay if and when he comes back and then all the wealth will be theirs. Babu is very happy to hear this.

Jeeva is in her room still fretting about the saree eposide. Nirmal comes there with some moeny to pay Sujatha. They both go downstairs and Jeeva again apologizes about the saree and tries to tell it wasn't her who burnt it. Sujatha is not willing to hear this. Nirmal gives the money to Sujatha but Sujatha refuses to accept.

An argument starts and Kalyani and Divya come there and asks then what is going on and tells them to forget about the incident and move on. Rukku comes in with a packet and gives it to Sujatha. In the packet is a saree - the exact saree that was burnt. Rukku tells Sujthat that she went to many saree shops to find a saree exactly like the the one destroyed. Sujatha is very happy and tells Rukku that she is very grateful to Rukku for getting her the saree. She goes on to apologize for all the bad attitude shown to her before and that henceforth she will think of Rukku as her own mother and will address her such. Rukku and the rest of the family except Jeeva and divya are very happy to hear this.

Rukku goes to Jeeva and tells her that no matter how Jeeva tries to get her out of thte house, she will fail. Rukku also tells that Jeeva's age is Rukku's experience. Rukku goes on to tell Jeeva that she burnt the saree and put the blame on Jeeva. She warns Jeeva not to interfere in her affairs any more and if not she will have to face the consequences. Jeeva tells her that whe is not afraid of Rukku and tells Rukku to get out if not she will be shamed in front of the family. Both of them challenge each otehr and......THODARUM.

March 6 (Tues):

Scene opens with Ethiraj surrounded by his adiyaals, is talking to his son Gopi and right hand man, Ramaiah. He asks them if the customs officer has agree to release their goods and Ramaiah tells him no. Ethiraaj then tells thm to kill the customs officer. Gopi tells his father that the man is young, has a wife and a small daughter. Ethiraaj says that as he is a governmetn officer, they will get money to live on and if they need more, he can give them. Gopi is shocked to hear this and tries to reason with his father but his father is adamant. Finally Ethiraaj says that they have to kill the officer and there is no other way.

Babu is pacing in the living. Giri comes to him and Babu asks if everything is ready for the pooja, and Gopi nods. Giri goes to Janani who is against the pooja and convinces her to attend. Everyone is assembled in the prayer room. The priest begins his prayers and tells that Vijay has been missing for 48 days and that he has been facing many difficulties. He is now with a friend in a place south from Kaushik's residence. He also tells them that his life is in danger and her should be saved before amavasai or else he would be dead. Everyone is shocked to hear this. After the priest leaves, Giri promises Janani to look for Vijay. Janani tells Giri, should anything happen to vijay she would not be alive and leaves.

Kalyani comes downstairs with some papers and calls for Rukku. When Rukku comes, she asks Rukku to sign the papers. Kalyani tells Rukku that the forms are application to open a bank account for Rukku so that she can have her own money and none can question her. Rukku refuses at first but accepts after persuasion from Kalyani. while they are talking, Jeeva comes there with tea for Kalyani and listens to them. Kalyani then gives the forms to Jeeva and tells her to put it in her bag as she wants to take shower and get ready for work. Jeeva looks at the papers and Rukku tells her about the bank account. Rukku continues to say that no matter how Jeeva tries to spoil Rukku's reputation she will not be successful because they all trust her and she has been there for 30 years (some old dialogues - boring ma!). Rukku tells Jeeva to be careful hereafter because she will definitely create problems for Jeeva. Jeeva tells her she is ready to take on Rukku's challenge and if rukku is ready for hers. Rukku laughs and leaves. Jeeva looks at the signature and sees G. Rukku and says G stands for Ganapathy. See what I am going to do and.......THODARUM.

March 7 (Wed):

Jeeva goes to Kalidas' house. She meets Aparna there who tells her she knows about Jeeva's problems. She tells Jeeva that these kind of problems are common and one should adjust. Jeeva says she will not adjust to any kind of wrong doing in her in-laws house. She then goes to the mottai maadi and meets Kaslidas and relays the saree incident to him. She tells him about Rukku's initial 'G' and that she wanted to ask her MIL, but decided to get Kalidas' opinion first. Kaslidas says don't ask directly but say he has a plan and both discuss (muted dialogs). Jeeva says okay and leaves with a smile.

At Ethiraaj's house, both Saro and Devi are cooking and they talk about the Custom's officers wife, I think the name is sulochana (Will definitely find out today). The door bell rings and Devi gets worried that food is not ready and both father and son must have come home for lunch. Saro tells her not to worry and go open the door. Devi opens the door and is surprised to see Sulochana and invites her in. She calls Saro and all three ladies talk. Sulochana says she went to the temple and on the way home came to visit Saro and Devi. Whe asked about her daughter Uma, she replies that her daughter is with her dad at home. They talk some more and Sulochana tells them that she was very worried about her husband becos the two goodas were threatening her husband. She is afraid that they might do something to her husband. Saro tells her to go to the police but Sulochana says if she does it will become a bigger mess. She takes leave and Saro gives her poo, kungumam and palam. She also puts kungumam on Sulochana's forehead and Thali and offer to give her a ride home. Sulochana refuses politely and takes leave.

Some ugly looking men are in a warehouse, waiting for someone. Sneha comes in and gives them Avaya's photo and and money. She wants themto kidnap Avaya and take her to the hill top and she will meet them there. She tells them the address is in the back of the photo. It is night and the goodas get into Divakar's house. they see someone on the bed and hit. Divakar is watching this from behind. The goondas find that they have bene fooled because it was not Avaya on the bed but some pillows. Divakar comes and fights (Cinema fight mathiri - dishyum, dishyum 😳 ) and chases the goondas away. He knows it is Sneha and says he is going to send her a 'marana adi' the next day and........THODARUM

March 8 (Thurs):

Kalyani is reading newspaper when a courier comes with a letter. Kalyani receives the letter and is surprised that it is for Rukku. Jeeva too comes there asking who the letter is for and is told that it is for Rukku and from a person named Gopal. Jeeva tells Kalyani that Rukku's initial is G and this could be from her husband. There is no forwarding address. Kalyani then tells Jeeva to open the letter (what nonsense, how can anyone open let alone read another's mail - totally disgusting! 😡 ) Jeeva opens the letter ad says it is from rukku's husband. Gopal is sorry for leaving Rukku 30 years ago and seeks her forgiveness and want Rukku to live wih him. Kalyani is happy to hear this news and want s to call the entire family to tell the good news.

Janani is in her room and Giri brings her some milk and asks her to drink. As usual Janani screams at him and says how irresponsible he is with Vijay's disappearance and is not bothered about looking for him. Giri tries to reason with her but she is not willing to listen. Babu comes and tells them to stop their argument and talk to Kalids who has come to visit. Giri tells Kalidas about the Samiyaar's predictions and about the whereabouts of Vijay and Kalidas tells Janani not to worry because he and Giri will bring Vijay back,no matter what.

Nirmal and is on the phone calling his brother Srithat and telling him about Rukku's letter. He tells him to bring Sujatha home early and that he will call his dad now. Everyone else is gathered in the living waiting to Rukku to give her the good news. Rukku comes in and is surprised to see everyone. Kalyani tells her the news and Rukku says her husband's name is not Gopal and her husband could not have written her the letter. Nirmal tries to persuade her followed by the other but she says no. Jeeva tells as Rukku's initial is G and the name of the person is Gopal, it must be her husband (What an explanation ❓ ) Rukku once and for all says it is not and everyone leaves. Jeeva also leaves and Rukku stops her and asks if this was her doing. Jeeva arrogantly answers how can that be. Rukku warns her if Jeeva has done this she will have to face the concequences.........THODARUM

March 9(Fri):

RS comes home and Kalyani give him the letter. RS reads it and is shocked. He asks Kalyani how she can think that this person is Rukku's husband. Kalyani calls Jeeva and Jeeva says Rukku signed papers with the initial 'G' and that is why she thinks it is her husband. Jeeva tells RS that it is their duty to unite Rukku with her husband. RS goes to see Rukku and asks her what this means. Rukku tells RS that it si Jeeva's work and she is afraid of th consequences. RS tells her not to worry and she will take care of it.

Customs officer is getting ready to go to work. His wife Sulochana tells his not to go because itis sunday and also their daughter Uma's birthday. He tells her he has to go otherwise some other officer will take his place at the office and release the goods aftr taking bribe. Uma comes down and her father feeds her some sweets and tells her to get ready for birthday party that evening. Uma wants to follow her dad to the office and Sulochana refuses. After much persuation, Uma gets into the car with her dad and they leave for the office. Ramaiah and Gopi are watching the officer's house from a distance. They see the car leave and follow. It is ethiraaj's plan to kill the officer on his way to work that day.

The car is going on a busy road. The customs officer gets a call and his daughter sits up and starts waving to cars behind her. Gopi and Ramaiah sees this. Gopi tells Ramaiah to call their aadiyal and stop their plan to hit the car today because there is a child in the car. First Ramaiah refuses but agrees and he calls the aadiyal and tells him to stop. Ethiraaj is waiting for the phone call from his men. He calls his men and he tells of Gopi's instructions. Ethiraaj tells him to go ahead. When the car reaches the spot. It is blown off, much to Gopi's shock. Gopi stops the car and gets out and weeps. He asks Ramaiah why he did not stop even after it was instructed to. Ramaiah tries to console Gopi. THODARUM.

March 12 (Mon):

Giri goes to the Samiyaar's house and asks him more details about vijay. He also tells him about his wife. The samiyaar tells Giri that he has told everything to them and there is nothing he can do about it. Giri asks if there is any prayers that can be done for Vijay's safe return and money is not a problem, the samiyaar tells him that he will do a yaagam. Also says that with Amman's blessing, vijay will come back wihout any harm. Giri give's him Vijay's photo and tells him that there is a 25 lakhs reward for any information leading to Vijay's rescue and leaves. On the way out he meets Samiyaar's assistant and tells him to look out for Vijay and also gives him some money. The assistant goes to the Samiyaar and the Samiyaar gives him Vijay's photo and tells him to look out for Vijay. Samiyaar takes the photo and looks at it and remember the boys with an old lady and leaves.

Ethiraaj's adiyaal (who bombed the car) comes in and Ethiraaj pays him.. He takes the money but tells Ethiraaj that Gopi is angry with him. Ethiraaj tells the man not to worry as he will talk to his son. The man leaves and is stoped by Gopi who comes in with Ramaiah and beats the man. Ethiraaj stops Gopi and tells the an to leave. Gopi is angry with his father and tells him he doesn't want to be any part of his dealing and that he wants to leave the place with his wife. Ethiraaj tells Gopi that if he leaves, his enemies will kill him. Gopi says he doesn't care. More angry talks between father and son.

RS, Aathai and Sneha are eating, when a courier arrives for RS. RS receives it and opens the envelope ans is shocked to see half a photograph showing Durga jumping of the cliff. He gives the photo to his sister and his sister cry. Sneha comes there and is given the photograph. Sneha too cries (I think more for herself than anything else!). They cry saying durga committed suicide. RS tells them to stop crying because he feels that this is not suicide but murder. He also says why only half a photo is sent and why now. there is something and someone behind this. He wants to give this to the police and find out who is responsibl and take revenge! Sneha is very frightened. THODARUM

Sue, that was what the Samiyar told Giri!.

March 13(Tues):

I am not going to elaborate on the mortuary scene because I just could'nt stand it and forwarded.

Sulochana is at the mortuary waiting to identity the bodies. An inspector comes there and asks the constables if anyone has come to claim Ramesh's body and he is pointed to Sulochana. He is informed that no one else is there because Ramesh and Sulochana married against parents wishes and are disowned. The inspector tells the constable to show only Ramesh's body and not the child's because it is too gory. Sulochana is taken inside and shown (I forwarded all after this).

In the Police Station, the commissioner has called Alfonse and Kalidas to handover the investigation of Ramesh's death. 🤢 He says although there has been many recommendations to whom the case should be given to, he has chosen both of them because of their dedication. (It looks like there are no other policeman worthy of trust except these two! 😕 ). He tells them about Sulochana crying in the mortuary, saying that she will avenge those who killed her husband. He suspects that Sulo knows the men who murdered her husband and wants the officers to investigate.

Sujatha as usual goes to her parents' house to report to her father about the letter for Rukku. After listening to his daughter, Sujatha's father thinks of names begining with the letter 'G'. He says some names and also mentions Ganapathy, and Sujatha says it can't be because her FIL is not like that (Sorry folks, all this time I have been using the name RS-WRONG!) He tells Sujatha, that maybe the saree was actually burnt by Rukku and put the blame on Jeeva because Jeeva questioned about the $5 thousand. Also, the letter only came after Rukku had signed the bank papers and Jeeva had seen it - so this is something to think about. Sujatha agrees and tells her father that even if Rukku doesn't leave the house, Jeeva must and only then, Sujatha will be respected. Her father tells Sujatha to be very careful but to good to Rukku to get her support and plan to get Jeeva out soon as possible.
THODARUM.

March 14 (Wed):

Ganapathy meets his DIL (Jeeva) in the mottai madi and warns her about interfering in his and Rukku's affairs. Jeeva says she is not afraid of any body and will see to it that Rukku leaves. Ganapathy tells her he will have to take severe action and he is not worried about his son's happiness. Jeeva says she is ready to face any consequences and leaves.

Gopi comes in and asks for coffee, Saro tells him Devi will bring him a cup. Gopi gets the newspaper and reads the news and is shocked to see the news about Ramesh and Uma's death. He is even more shocked that Uma was killed on her birthday. He gets angry and goes to his father and has an argument with him. Big argument between father and son, and Gopi leaves, Devi brings coffee, an he shouts his refusal and leaves the house after throwing the newspaper on the couch. Devi is surprise at this and picks up the newspaper. She too is shocked at the news and cries out to Saro. Saro comes down and is shown the news. Both the ladies leave to Sulochana's home.

Ganapathy is sitting on the couch brooding. Kalyani comes there and asks if he has seen the bank pass book. Ganapathy says he doesnt know and not to ask him. Kalyani asks her husband why he is angry and is snapping at her. While they are talking, the door bell rings and Sujatha opens the doors to her parents. Sujatha is surprised that they have come as she had only visited them the day before. To this her mother says her father has come to pry about Rukku's affair, as usual. Sujatha's father asks about Rukku's letter and Kalyani says they are all very about it. He watches Ganapathy's face and sees that he is non-commital. Rukku comes there and everyone advices her to accept her 'husband'. They then take leave. Rukku leaves the living, sad.

The two musketeers (Kalidass & Alfonse), visit Sulochana and convery their condolences and ask about Ramesh's murderers. She tells about Ramesh going to the office that day to prevent from some goods being released. When asked about what it was and who, she hesitates.......THODARUM

March 16 (Fri):

Kalidas and Aparna are talking about Vijay's disappearance. Kalidas tells Aparna about the josiar and his prediction. They also talk about Jeeva's problem. Just then Jeeva enters and tells them about the happenings in the house. (It is revealed that the letter is sent by Kalidas). She tells Kalidas that except for her FIL and Rukku, everyone is happy that Rukku's husband will finally come for her and want to unite them. Kalidas says that if Rukku doesn't leave the house soon, he will go one step further and send a josiar and ask him to tell see all their jathagam and this will surely have some effect.

Paati is serving both the boys some food and tells them to eat. Vijay tells the paati to send him to his house and she will be paid alot of money. Paati laughs. Someone is banging her door. Paati peeps through and sees the josiar's assistant. She quickly tells the boys to go to the back and eat and keep quiet until the man leaves. The assistant enters the house and paari wants to know why he is here. He asks paati where her grandsons are and paati tells him they have gone to the store. HE then asks why haven't they gone home as school has begun. Paati says her daughter will be come in two days and take them. The boys hicup, and the assistant find them in the kitchen. He asks if the boys want to go out with him, but paati gets annoyed and chases the man out. The man goes out and tells to himself he will teach this paati a lesson.

Sulochana is on her own in the house. Saro and Devi comes there and they start crying 😭 😭 They talk about Sulo's husband and daughter and more crying. Sulo suddenly says her daughter is in the shower and takes a towel there. Later she says her husband is calling and wants to go upstairs. Both Saro and Devi stop her and tells her they are no more and more crying.......THODARUM.
