I hope and pray Vaishnavi's family has the strength to get thru this. May she rest in peace.

I watched her in Manaivi and Muhurtham. I loved her bubbly nature and the smile. She was full of life on screen. Who would have thought she coud taker her life. AS Madhu said, if only she had paused for a moment to stop thinking about herself....... but others

I remember watching an episode in Muhurtham that was aired on tv just within a week or two after Vaishnavi passed away. It was a scene where Durga (played by Devi Priya) attempts suicide by hanging herself, and is saved at the right moment. Janani (played by Vaishnavi) later advises her by saying, "How could you think of doing such a thing? Did you forget about all of us? Promise me you will never do such a thing again...."

That scene sent chills down my spine. Imagine someone mouthing such dialogues and then doing this to herself! Like I said earlier, suicide victims are caught at a moment of emotional weakness. We all know that no one would do such a thing in their right senses.

And for a young girl to fall hopelessly in love with a married man is to live in a world of false illusions. She has no one to be there for her because everyone thinks she should never have messed with a bad deal in the first place. Who does she turn to at such times?

In the end, I don't want to sound preachy but if a young woman knowingly gets involved with a married man, she is playing with fire and one should always have the ability to extinguish the "fire" and move on. Otherwise, just don't get involved. A sad tragic ending for the girl is the only outcome in such cases.

Yes, she was great. Vaishavi was a loving and selfless soul too. Had she been a bit more selfish and loved herself more, she might have been alive today. She might have continued living for herself and for her family, instead of killing herself for the love of a married man.

Her untimely suicide only revealed that she was truly nave and a sensitive girl at heart. She deserved much more in life.

While the married man continues to exist as the married man and has moved on, her parents' dreams for her remain shattered and unfulfilled for a lifetime.

May her soul rest in peace.
