Success has no shortcuts and it completely depends on the efforts an individual puts in. It's your hard work that counts," says Ayub Khan, who was recently in the city to speak about his new show that's airing on TV.
The actor admits that he's had his fair share of struggle before he started getting good offers. "In fact, I've had issues because of my association with actor Dilip Kumar, who's my uncle. But, I wanted to make my own identity in the industry. No matter whose blood relation you are, but to sustain in this industry, your hard work and efforts are supporters," he says.
Ayub is quite kicked about his role in Phir Bhi Na Maane Badtameez Dil. "I play a rich business tycoon, Kuber Malhotra. He loves his son Abeer, but hates the fact that he's taken up singing as his profession. Like every father, he too dreams his son will look after the family business. But, things are different in his family,"he says, adding, "Most of the shows aired on TV have Bollywood numbers in them. But, we've composed 16 new tracks that have especially been recorded for the show by Darshan Raval and Suyash Rai."
The actor is in town for just a short duration. But, he hopes to check out almost all aspects of Bhopal. "I think the city is greener than before, and the lakes, much cleaner. I love water bodies, and I must say, lakes are the biggest assets of Bhopal," he signs off.
