Actually I enjoy watching this show at the moment, so I hope it will continue. I had watched in the very beginning and just recently started watching again, after the leap. There is still so much to happen, so I hope they keep the show going. Actually I really like the performance of the actress displaying Mastani and everyone else.

I had loved this show as well. The problem is not Mastani but it's the portrayal of Kashi as a shallow insensitive woman that has irked most of us here. The performances of every actor is excellent no denying that. But personally I don't care as for me the essence of the show is lost.

Oh I understand what you mean, since I only started watching again recently so I could not comment on it. I just wanted to express my view from the last few episodes. But I can see why you might be unhappy with the portrayal of certain characters.

I have seen something similar happen on other historical shows where to glorify one queen the other queen(s) were shown in a bad light which may not be true at all. I was hoping this show would not go down that path but I was disappointed post the leap. The actors chosen to play the grown up characters including Megha who plays Mastani are really good. I don't have a problem with Mastani being glorified either but there was no need to introduce her at this point n at every step the makers have only highlighted how apt Mastani is to be Bajirao's soulmate (which is still fine) but shown Kashi to be a dumb, insensitive, shallow, self centered woman which is really bad. There are many historical sources that cite Kashi was a gentle, kind and devoted wife and after Mastani's death she raised Shamsher aka Mastani n Bajirao's son like her own son. It takes a big heart to do something like that. So when the CVs ruined her character to justify Mastani's presence or Baji's pull towards her, I felt let down.

I doubt the show would hav improved even if extension was given as the makers are simply not capable enough.They already butchered everything so in a way it's better to end then ruin things further, but I truly sympathize with the actors. Hopefully, they find new projects soon.

This is totally unfair towards the show. The trps may be the reason. Though I want to watch Ganeshya show but the way they handled this show makes me feel never to watch historical shows. I understand people are not happy with the portrayal of character of kashi but the portrayal of other characters was so good. I was really engrossed after yesterday's episode. This is so unfair. I m sure the show would garner more trps after bajirao mastani track.

I hope they get good opportunities. Megha and Ishita have still played leads before but for Karan and Saurabh it was their first time and this was Saurabh's debut in Hindi TV Industry. They had put in so much n its sad all their efforts were in vain.

That I agree and I have mentioned my reasons in another thread in the forum. Mastani or Kashi is not the only reason for the show's failure. It's the script n the depiction of the scenarios.
