@BOLD: I was a loyal viewer of CGM and it was the best historical till date, even after leap, it didn't lose its essence and our Manish Wadhwa aka Balaji was Acharya Chanakya there, so you can guess how a spectacular show it was with such great performers including the young Shahuji guy playing Ambhik Kumar and young Malhar who played young CGM. And you know what PB was such great till before leap like CGM but it is going in the same way like other historicals did before. CAS was also very good till Acharya Chanakya's death but it also gone to a very low level after his exit and made the show a total crap. But CGM was a show which postleap was as good as preleap, saddest part was that it had gone off-air mid way due to the closure of the channel. I dunno from where these writers got the idea of writing such crap once tasting the success. Post leap, I dont even know which guy is actually playing adult Malhar and Shahuji hardly had much role post leap- everyone lost their roles with too much of Mastani.

Bajirao will probably consummate his marriage when he is not in his senses and that is how Nana Saheb will be born and the next time probably out of guilt for cheating on Kashi with Mastani and thats how Ragoba will be born 🀒 Kashi is a ghost for Baji and he doesn't care or feel anything for her. I don't think the makers will even mention about those children of theirs who died in infancy. Even in movie they had skipped that.

The movie began with him as Peshwa so his son already existed as well...and Mastani came into his life and got pregnant just as Kashi conceived th second child! Here it has to be a miracle or as you say,out of obligation or worse, not knowing who he is with or something...

Here the attempt is to justify their relationship...it is backfiring big time..whatever they are making Mastani out to be it doesn't justify Baji being so cold to Kashi way before he even meets Mastani.
History says he loved them both...consistent with the men of that time...so why change that..
It's only becUse they want it to be a love story...Kashi was a mistake is what they seem to imply!

Coz this is Indian Television.

First of all the CVs need to get their brains back and remember that this show was about Peshwa Bajirao and not Bajirao Mastani 2.0.

Secondly they need to work on their facts.Mastani was a kid at present.Mastani's mom's name was Ruhaani and not Surraiyya.
And Mastani certainly didn't have a sad life back at Bundelkhand.Legitimate or not she was pampered and cherished by the family.
Bringing Mastani at this stage was a colossal blunder.

Thirdly,Kashi was not someone who was lovesick for Baji and neither did Baji give a cold shoulder to Kashi. They had a normal relationship and they loved each other. He did not stop loving Kashi after Mastani entered his life for he did have a 4th child with her.

Fourthly, will heaven collapse if they show Bajirao loving both his wives albeit at different stages of his life??πŸ€ͺWhy is it necessary for only one of them to be the love of his life??Mastani entered after he had established himself as a Peshwa. He did fall for her.No one is denying it.But why force it in the audience's faces that Baji and Mastani are soulmates??
Its as if through the heavy dose of Mastani scenes the PH is trying to tell us that,'Mastani is Baji's love.Deal with it'.🀒

Agreed with you...CVs have totally lost their brains. When the makers have totally shifted their focus, what can you still expect from them!! And these Indian TV historical makers have a habit of showing the central figure as a "ONE WOMAN MAN" where they totally forgot that they are showing a totally different society from our current one. This same tradition is still continuing with this historical too. And post leap, these shows's main agenda become to show some epic love story of their central figure with one of his wife who was his only soulmate.

@BOLD : Absolutely, Can't agree with you more...πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Makers dying to show Romeo-Juliet kind of love story in every historicals.

The Mastani scenes are forcibly inserted into the narrative and pop up at weird places!
Yesterday there was no need to go back and forth when Baji was dealing with the moneylenders ...that Mastani scene was meh as usual...she doesn't seem neglected to me at all...
I prefer to watch online so I don't have to see her in completely historically inaccurate scenarios and cringe.
Today Baji said that Kashi was his family and he would never hurt her...but it sounds so empty when that is all he is doing...she is supposed to be immature but he is the one not getting the relationship..after all this it seems like the mother, brother, wife will all be bad so that Mastani can be good!
They seem to be moving towards the epic meeting of Mastani and the Peshwa already so history be damned!
Wish the focus shifts at least to his warrior self ..forget both the relationships for a while..they seem unable to portray that part accurately!

hv always heard good things about CGM . rushiraj , manish wadhwa , ashish all were at their best but sadly i missed it then...
i think CGM had to go off air due to channel's closure , right .

Basically we need to shift our focus from this show as the makers are doing to PB and focussing on the HEAVENLY CONNECTION of Bajirao-Mastani to show them as SOULMATE, we can't expect to see any proper history of PB anymore on this show and I've got it.

The only truth that the makers of PB actually want to portray is their disclaimer which states that the whole business is fictional! πŸ˜†
