Radhabai informs Kashibai about their family
Our family is not perfect
though Gotya and Namrata might say we are
Like all, we have our ups and downs
And yet, we are the luckiest ones in town!
Baji, my oldest, has always been a risk taker
His school teacher even called him a troublemaker
So I took up the job of being his guru
And developed in him life skills and courage through and through
His battle skills he got from his father
Who was rather tough with him I gather
But he learned the strategies and the skill
And aced through the warrior drill
Chimna, my most reliable, is full of knowledge
He is strong, smart, and extremely capable, I must acknowledge
He has cameras in his eyes for he can recapture all he reads
He does not repeat them but applies them and is far beyond his years, indeed!
He is very understanding and patient
And will take care of all relations
He will love and protect Baji, you and Bhiu with dedication
But make no mistake, for him too - Swaraj is devotion
Bhiu is the sweetest of the three
Please forgive her - that is my plea
She adores her brothers and worships them
They too - treat her like their chum
She is fierce and full of dedication
To Swaraj and woman emancipation
Right now, towards you she nurtures some jealousy
As you have usurped her place with me
The new born babe you have seen
Loves Baji more than me
She will do as he says
For when she was in my womb she heard all sing his praise
Baji breathed in her life anew
When Nasir kicked her in my womb and turned her blue
This little one had it tough when in my womb
But thankfully has survived and bloomed
My husband and I think we are the luckiest family by far
We have good health and children who are patriotic stars
We thank Lord Gajanan for His blessings
And loving caring!
It is His love we go through life giving
to every one around us with thanksgiving
It is our prayer that when the Lord calls us to heaven's door
We will go down for swaraj and a conscience clear!
