It was indeed a star studded night with the who's who of telly land and the presence of Bollywood divas, Karisma Kapoor and Isha Koppikar on the stage of Sony TV's Deva Shree Ganesha. The show was arranged as a special celebration of Ganesh Utsav and it was by all means the bestcelebration we've witnessed so far. From dance and music to comedy to history, the show was a complete package.
To start with, we had Asha Negi and beau Rithvik Dhanjani hosting the show and their loving chemistry was just too adorable to not fall in love with. Then there were the amazing performances by Karisma Kapoor, Jay Soni, Himmanshoo Malhotra, Amruta Khanwalkar, Asha Negi and Rithivik Dhanjani. Of course, Karisma's super energetic performance was the highlight of the show, Asha and Amruta's face off too was a stand out point. However, the best part of the show was the fact that it was a perfect mix of knowledge and entertainment.
Not only was it a performance based show, some of the performances actually depicted history and mythology. Like Rithivik's Bholenath performance was like a modern day musical of the transformation of Nandi to Lord Ganesha. Then there was Aishwarya Sakhluja's Jhansi Ki Rani act that narrated the origin of the festival by Lokmanya Tilak. The enactments made the whole show a great watch.
Despite being an information heavy show, at no point do you feel that it got too much or too boring. The upbeat music, fast and the recent tracks, raps all made the show relatable for the younger generation that otherwise shies away from all things mythological.
Check out the pics above to get a glimpse of the brilliant performances that the night saw!
