Anurag wants to be a bad boy
TNN, Jan 20, 2011, 12.00am ISTAnurag Sharma
Anurag Sharma may have become a household name as the mature and sensible Satish of Pavitra Rishta, but quite unlike the contented character he plays on screen, Anurag has the hunger to try newer avenues.
He is quite keen to play the bad man. "It's very essential for an actor to have variations in his performance and I would love to play a negative character if given a chance," he says. Hailing from UP, Anurag earned recognition the hard way. "I never had any backing and unlike many others who are born with the silver spoon I had to struggle and work my way up the ladder," he says.
He started his career with Prakash Jha's TV series Bahubali and later went on to playing a pivotal role in Prithviraj Chauhan. "Currently I am focusing on Pavitra Rishta. It's a show that's given me recognition and I would go on till the producers want me," he says.
