He went to Vardhan and asked his side of the story and then he went to Pranati and asked hers.Swearing on Jugnu's life is why he is helping her get to the truth and when he finds out that it indeed was Vardhan all hell will break loose.
And what he said about her kicking her out, imagine in his mind, if Pranati was the one wrong that would mean she not only accused his brother and defamed his family but also swore falsely on jugnu. He is bound to be angry especially if it was all to save Archit and herself.
The repurcussions for the one who is at wrong are extreme for both from Rey's side. He's actually working smartly here considering he's close to both people.

We know she's been molested by Vardhan. We saw it and neither have we been manipulated by Dadi. But Rey only has heard words from both parties and has the mother of his child on one side and his brother, his blood on the other. And he is sensitive to the fact that she has been molested thats why he is helping her and not just sitting there waiting for the truth to unfold itself. So that she isn't alone in this tough time. His heart is at conflict so he's using his brain.

Aaliya. I can understand this when I see things from Rey's eyes but when I'm back to watch the episode from pranati's eyes.. Rey's behavior is not warming and Also I didn't expected him to make deal with jugnu custody.i was ok with him chasing her out. Circumstances are against pranati and he was not wrong. But not even once he didn't give the benefits of doubt that " what if " pranati is saying the truth... This any normal sensible person will do..but Rey disappointed me in that aspect
