But Dadi again talks about Mahabharata, she really has no respect ! For a woman, I'm really ashamed of her behaviour. For her benefit, it doesn't matter if her grandson becomes a rapist !

Because she herself is a thief !

Rey respects women (in his own way) but until now his behaviour was just childish and not mature. He plays with women, but for him it's "mutual", he doesn't make promises (except to Prani at the time) so for him it doesn't hurt...

On the contrary , I feel Rey genuinely fell in love with pranati and he becomes a play boy to move on from Pranati. He had a misconception that all he wants from Pranati is her physique with mutual consent as you said but he himself dunno how he lost himself in her only after he finally gets to introspect himself.

He was quite different from the Playboy heroes we have seen in serials, he is bit realistic in the way that he never intended to cross line with any woman or disrespect her without her consent. He even scolded his brothers in police station stating the same thing.

No he was a playboy before meeting Prani.

I know this because in the library flashback scene he's making out with a girl when Pranati finds them while looking for a book. They make eye contact and not two seconds later he's ditched the girl and is infront of Pranati ready to woo her.

I do agree that she was more than fling to him but he didn't realise that

He was a playboy all along. There is one whole college scene of Prayansh when they were together where he explains that he is like a bee whose only motive is pollination, moving from one flower to another. Those were his literal words.

In many flashback scenes you see Rey solely focused on sleeping together, he din't even try and hide his motive, he was open that he wasn't into marriage and responsibilities. Despite all that Praniti did fall for him & I believe she was naive enough to believe that he'd stick with her or change (I'm assuming Prani's perspective, it wasn't shown). Rey is shown to have developed feelings back then for her (in the 3rd or 4th episode), but there has been no background or clarity to it.

There's also a scene under the wishing tree of the whole lock tying thing where Prani asks Rey to tell her openly if he lives her and also tell her if he doesn't when he asks for a kiss or something (I don't remember the exact sequence of events). But he does tell 'I love you' and then they're shown getting intimate. God only knows if he meant it or just told that to get into her pants.

There is a lot in the past Prayansh story that actually needs more clarity, hope we get that in the future.

He without a second thought confessed he loves her which obviously he didn't meant and got what he wanted. He told that to get intimate with her which pranati understood after their separation.

But at the same time, Rey after spending or sleeping with many women in his life still yearns for her love which he couldn't find in anyone. He understands her pure love only after she left her. The same flashback with two different point of view. She realized what he meant and he realizes her love.

This story has many loose ends. Still Rey's flashbacks are from college times which purely confirmed that college love story is the base.

I really don't think pranati is the one who simply agree to sleep with Reyansh because of her first love. Reyansh did fell for her in that phase of getting her back. I strongly believe 3 or 4 flashbacks never say their college love story after what they've shown recently. It seems both only have college flashbacks when they try to come closer to each other in alone.

The flashbacks are needed to explore more. Atleast they would have been in love for one year considering their age and pregnancy drama.

I forgot that because of recent back to back hearty confessions of Reyansh😆

Yes he tried to woo her and get her but in that process, he started falling in love with her which we dunno much about that unless and until they show proper flashbacks.

Rey told her that they started their affair because of her foot and pranati acknowledged it. And recently he said she likes that cent smell when she was unconscious.

So they did shared a love story which has many things to explore 😂

It was Pranati's tenderness that made him lose himself. As I said in another post. Rey knows what love is. So Pranati made him remember what he lost, so he had hope.

I think there's a piece of the puzzle missing in the fact that he rejected Pranati in this way.

I'm sure he must have remembered a lot of things in order to abandon him as he is doing now.
