They didn't show Rey in a fix at all. He is going ahead with dadi's plan. He believes pranati only cares about her love life with archit and sideline jugnu so she doesn't deserve to have jugnu. So he deserves his daughter's custody.
And about him helping jugnu bunk school is probably because he is like the fun father who spoils his kid and give her whatever she asks for. So it has nothing to do with him not caring about her enough or something.
He is the most confused character... He himself dunno how he reacts and what he wants except one thing following dadi's order...
As you said he decided to hate her and then he couldn't stop himself from caring concern for her since she is his first love/crush( accept or deny) And he again get confused like what pranati said today...he is all smiling a minute and become angry another minute... He is not trustworthy... No one knows how he reacts even himself...
He becomes jealous and lovey dovey seeing pranati but Archit's words and pranati's words echoing in his mind repeatedly... One thing is to escape from his conscience, he search reasons to follow dadi's orders... Arman-riya- navya... He consoled himself that navya is wrong and he accepts dadi's order without any second thoughts...
Now separating mom and daughter...his confused crooked mind devised a theory to execute dadi's plans .. result he comes up with this Archit - Pranati love story...
Honestly speaking... character like Reyansh are not good in anyone's life and in tv serial, they may show him become good but it's good to stay away from them always. They don't accept their mistakes all their life... Will hurt their closed ones beyond imagination...
Only because of bgm and actors chemistry... Hoping against hope that we can endure his madness like pranati doing it for jugnu
I remember my first ever post in this PB forum was: 'Romanticizing Toxic relationships' It is what it is. We're watching this show and loving it because of the actors and how brilliantly they're portraying the characters,esp Kunal as Reyansh. But in no way the bonding that Reyansh and Pranati shared is healthy-a very bad example for any group of audience that'd like to take inspiration for real life relationships.
Pranati knows her ground well now fortunately. She's here only and only because of Jugnu. She knows she doesn't love Archit. She knows the only context where Reyansh can be trusted is Jugnu,that too after seeing how he stood by her when Jugnu got kidnapped(beech mein she got swayed a bit with that foot massage and coffee making par abhi she's back on track,credits to Reyansh's bipolar behaviour)

when a person is complex complicated too deep in emotions doesn't know how to express control and vent they always gets confused they will not know what is right and wrong just follow the flow becos there is so much darkness in them they don't know what to do what to follow their heart or mind

its not about trustworthy reyansh is born into such atmosphere who has no value of love and relationships they only value money deals and destroying others families he has grown up watching all this negativity and his mother left him all these have taken a toll on him and made him so complex and complicated somewhere the real reyansh khurana is lost and pranati brings out the real reyansh khurana he does love pranati but just doesn't want to accept his feelings and running away from it he runs away from love but at the same when he is with pranati or with archit he just could not tolerate he has no control over his emotions she is triggering all the hidden emotions even he could not hate her if keeping his complex nature aside and see him as the positive reyansh he loves pranati more than she loves him and he can go any extend for her its pranati for him than jugnu she is his existence and the reason to live its just that to realise the mode he needs to fight the darkness and inner demons in him

he is doing what his darkness showing him like i say he is being true to his nature it will take a long journey to see him in the way we want he has it in him but its hidden he needs to fight it and bring his real soul out

i just can't stop laughing at his antics he is just being a dadi's boy something big needs to trigger him so that he separate himself from dadi and the secret of khuranas will definitely trigger that and we will see a new reyansh till than we will have to deal with his complexities

sometimes its the atmosphere they are being brought up reyansh is not a bad guy he is a good guy he is struggling with his emotions and need proper guidance and help

the whole family is a zoo first of its kind god knows how pranati tolerating that family if given chance she will move away from that house with jugnu the problem is jugnu is so attached to her father and has a dislike for her thus she is tolerating the zoo if only her daughter accepts her she cares a damn for anyone and takes a solo custody and move out with her daughter🤣
Mages.... Loved reading your point of view....As you said, something big should happen to make reyansh come out of his dadi's clutch.
Don't laugh at me.. but I'm trusting Archit only... Archit understood what he wants and how to get what he wants.. He want pranati.. he understands that jugnu is important for her and she didn't love him... also she didn't give a damn about reyansh... So, he starting afresh in the form of friendship..... He half succeeded...His efforts will definitely make Reyansh to do something unpredictable. He can't control his emotions forever... Or hurt his hands all the time...
I felt bad that he couldn't understand that how lonely pranati is... What mistake she did to deserve this... How he come up with such a love story excuse... If Archit is important, she would have left with dadi's money and wouldn't have risked her life... Fought with everyone and being silent when his family questioned her characters... Not even once he couldn't understand that Archit phone call brings happiness to her because she yearn for love and care...
For whom she's enduring this much pain... jugnu dislike her and he himself felt that she is great yesterday as a mom but now he decided to separate mom and daughter...
So from this...it's understandable that when Dadi gives some orders, he will execute it at any cost...so rift between him and dadi will only allow him to realize his mistakes and value pranati before she leaves him forever

archit is using jugnu to get close to pranati yes he is a nice guy and all but this is smart move he knows pranati world is jugnu and the path to pranati is being in jugnu's good books...smart move and i guess rey does know this
Something really big needs to happen indeed. I do believe CVs have some plan with Archit to make him Reyansh's trigger point. That's why they're showing him often nowadays.
The only person that can knock some sense into Reyansh's head is Maan. Sadly,he is busy with Navya right now. Uska apna bhi ek track hai with Navya.
And I completely agree with Mages about Reyansh being true to his character. Reyansh's character has a lot of layers. The outermost layer was carefree casanova. Then came the caring guy.
As the digging goes deeper,now we see how insecured and vulnerable he is.

one big trigger the volcano is going to erupt now in positive or negative way its yet to watch becos reyansh's complexities just makes him unpredictable even if its too late he will do something and reverse the mode back
