Hmmmm..... Now, thoughts thoughts! On one hand, Shiva does seem to regret what he'd done to Raavi, but on the other, it seems to be because he selfishly wants her love beyond it all.... And that felt a little gray to me.

He is in pain, understandable. And he recognises that he is the sole cause of it, amazing. But, he also does nothing to rectify his mistakes. He only waits there in Somnath, broken, and NOT searching for Raavi. Something that does not sit well with me. Perhaps this is because the Shiva I initially fell in love with and dreamt up was a man of action, and the current Shiva is NOT.

Rishita realises how broken he is though, and I'm glad you included that and consider it genius on your part too, because it was what convinced me to think twice about Shiva's POV. Is his lack of action simply a sign of just HOW broken he is? And not the lack of character or spine that I had momentarily written it off as?

When he sets out in search of her (,FINALLY!), he is confident to a fault that Raavi is coming back with him. And that rubbed me wrong too, until I realised that Raavi herself had not been able to move one step forward from him in life, always moving forward only to step back towards her bond with him.... It is simply what they have become. Their faith in each other is all they have, is it not, in the world their cruel families have created for them?

The ending was amazing though! And Suman finally realised that she is losing her son slowly slowly slowly! (Although my dramatic heart wanted more of a fight, I do understand that apathy is the ultimate lack of love)

Overall, a lot of mixed feelings about this piece, and Shiva still doesn't have me completely convinced, but this is beautiful exploration of a flawed character! ❤️

I guess I chose this song mainly because it screams one thing - Longing. Bas, nothing more, nothing less. I've tried to make Shiva extremely defeated here, unable to function properly without Raavi and regret his deeds. Him not doing anything to get her back was sort of a redemption arch I wanted to play - he wants her happy so he is letting her go- kinda thing.

He wasn't confident about Raavi coming back actually, he was determined that he'll do anything it takes to bring her back.😛

Raavi's stagnation is just another point in his favour. lmao.

Suman-Shiva face off is something I love the most in this whole piece, kind of like him standing up in front of Suman.

Again, yaar, what a beautiful drabble.❤️ I enjoyed reading this very much. I'm kinda sad that Shiva didn't really do anything to get Raavi back though. I mean, I get it, he is devastated and broken and he is not in a state to do things but it feels void. Maybe it's because I like Raavi more and I read that Raavi's POV before this, so feels like Raavi did so much in the relationship and Shiva little. That feeling that Raavi deserves much more than this, ya know?😆

But, I'm glad that he's willing to apologise, to do anything. Raavi would indeed forgive him and I hope he'd do everything in his power to keep her happy.

Maybe a sequel?😉 No pressure though.
