This is so true. Rishita may be annoying and toxic, but Dev is legitimately worse. At least Rishita says what's on her mind.smiley24

Dev doesn't speak when he needs to, cares nothing about ethics and others when it comes to his own selfishness, and wants his wife, who's repeatedly told him she has no intentions to Dhara 2.0 to be just like Dhara. Like dude, you need a heavy breakfast each morning and your wife can't cook? You don't run away to mom. You initiate going to the kitchen with your wife and ask her help in cooking something. He didn't even worry about Rishita's breakfast when he went to hog all the food dhara made.

On a side note, this man's MBA is useless too. He does nothing of note with it. Shiva seems more involved with the store anyways, and Dev refused a job offer because.. why not? Like honestly these people are way tooo dependent emotionally on each other. And the worst part is, if Dev does a job outside, I know it's going to treated as another pehli rasoi drama. Needlessly villianizing a harmless action.

Honestly though, who is in this show has done anything with their education? They literally have been partying it up in the haveli for the past few days. Lol, it makes me realize Shiva's had it best. Gets to do what he loves (work at Pandya Store) without having the need to do ridiculous tests/projects/assignments

Hopefully, in the future, they show something with every character's education, because I hate it when they criticize Shiva for not having an education while Dev gives up every opportunity that comes his way...

As far as GauRa go, their education probably didn't play a huge role in their business (unless gaumbi is an mba too), and they at least get the credit of working hard, raising the kids and freeing the store. Shiva has openly detested education and finds it potentially useless in his work, and Krish seems to be barely passing (doesn't even know his subjects). Rishita met Dev via a common friend, so no idea about her education, and Raavi's entire character has been about loving Dev and Pandy family since the beginning.

At this point in time, I just want them to give some hobby or career to Rishita and Raavi. Career more so to Rishita, as she's clearly not interested in housework. Raavi can be shown to choose being a housewife, or work independently (not Pandya store only again please).

Also yes Shiva's lack of education is brought up so much, but it's hardly ever detrimental to his life. In fact, after Gaura, he's easily the most street smart and capable member of the Pandya household.

Finally, on a busy Monday morning, I found time to watch the episode.

Without going into the details, I would take a moment to tell Raavi that she has got the best deal as a husband in the form of Shiva. He is often touted as uncouth, wild and savage, but as a husband and even Otherwise, he always has that ‘I shall look out for you’ approach. The so-called white collared ideal hero Dev neither has the sensibility, not the sensitivity to take care of the bare minimum when it comes to any responsibility.

Dev:

He proved to be highly myopic when it came to Raavi and her hints calling her childish while leading her on. Shiva, on the other hand, recognised every bit and warned him several times.

Shiva:

From the moment he decided to take Raavi’s responsibility, he stepped into Dev’s shoes without questioning. He was reclusive and lashed on being rejected, but still, he kept her under his watchful gaze and continues to do so. He even allowed her freedom making it her CHOICE to leave him and go away.

Helping her with chores, initiating the hand holding in Puja, enabling her sleeping pattern, there are tiny activities which he does to take care of her.

And, today, he watched like a sneaky child who brings a lollipop for best friend post jhagda but doesn't want the other person to know about it.

Has Shiva accepted the marriage? Yes, from day 1.

Is he a husband yet? Maybe not

Does he care? Yes, every bit

Is he attracted? Yes, every split second is an emotion

Was he always attracted? Subconsciously yes! He never knew it.

Will be back with more 😆about Raavi’s feeling up the wounds 😆

@bold, same! I don't know if you read @Transference's post earlier yesterday, but she talks about just this. I fooled around with my answers and gave crap-o-la responses as usual, but I would love to see Rishita working some white collar job and just getting out of the Pandya house, or Raavi starting up some business of her very own (can be fashion related, matchmaking related, or even start some DIY projects to sell). Would def make the story more interesting and we can see how each of their spouses support (or don't support like Dev) in their missions.

I love everything about this scene. From the way he cutely leans over to observe his wife, to the way he waits in anticipation for her to take the first bite, to the endless emotions that are on his face as he takes his very own bite.

It's the first scene in a long time where they are not fighting. He's happy. She's happy. We are happy!

I'm very much South Indian and know nothing about North Indian traditions for pujas apart from ITV, but do couples typically feed each other prasadam? It's a common little trope they use in South shows. Two characters who hate each other feed each other prasadam after a long day's fast.

On that topic, if these two do have to fast, it would be absolutely adorable with Raavi takes care of Shiva during his fast as we all know he loves food too much. It would be cute to see her version of this scene where she's the one secretly looking at him enjoying his food.
