Yes, I too just now googled it after reading this thread. The original version in Tamil is remade in many languages such as Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam,Telugu. Kannada. In Tamil, it still has very good trps sometimes yep topper too even after 500 episodes. Seems like some versions already failed to get the trps. Hope Hindi one maintains good trp rating. All the actors are giving a great performance in Hindi. Also Gupta brothers kind of have same concept and in Hindi language as per google. Why do we have two series on same concept and that too in star network.

@bold, Someone said that Gupta Bros didn't have the copyright from the Original makers that's why it was shut down abruptly.

I think I may have read it on this forum.

Ohk, thanks for the info. Seems like all serials in every language kind of remade in other language in star network. It’s good to see good stories being adopted in other languages.

How many remakes are there?😲 Do they all have their own twists and turns😆

I can't say I've watched all the remakes, but I can definitely say the Telugu remake has diverged into it's own new world. Prior to the lockdown, the Telugu one was behind the Tamil one by about 30-40 episodes. But Andhra/Telangana opened up faster than Tamilnadu as the cases were not as bad. That caused the Telugu version to jump ahead of the Tamil one, and boy oh boy was that a disaster. So much unnecessary drama and twists. Literally, no character was spared from the abysmal drama. I stopped watching, but then continued again when I saw a promo of Siri (Raavi) becoming pregnant. Now the Telugu version is so different since Raavi/Shiva have the first child (a baby girl) in the family as opposed to the Tamil version where Meena (Rishita) and Jeeva (Dev) have the first child (a baby girl as well).

Plus, in the Telugu version, Shailu (Rishita) continues to be arrogant and vile, so I really hope the Hindi remake doesn't follow suit. I generally like Meena (Rishita) when she isn't around her father too much. She's such a fun, easy going character that you can't help but support sometimes. I'd rather Rishita be like that than whatever I saw in today's episode.

it's always so fascinating to hear about the other versions. now wondering how the Hindi one will go, I have to agree with you, that I don't want Rishita to become a total vamp. I do hope that the Hindi version will have some of its own originality but stick with the deep family concept.

Was Meena like Rishita after the wedding or did she follow Telugu version?

Yes the dinning drama, bed room had happened in tamil version. But the aarthi drama was done by kasthuri(anita)

I hated meena at start. now i am enjoying watching her. But I hate it when she blindly trusts her father.

After Kathir-Mullai she is becoming my favorite. meena is character we cannot hate or love fully

I always feel if Tamil version showed the childhood of brothers may be some audiance may understand dhanam(dhara). when it was shown in Hindi version I become happy

I think that the Tamil series kind of showed that every character is flawed and have made some mistakes in their life. Dhanam( Dhara) character kind of quite dominating and wanted attention all the time which kind of irriting at times. When Mullai(Ravii) kind of got little attention, she might feel little jealous and then she kind of realizes that everyone loves her and can’t give her attention all the time. The actor who plays Meena(Rishita) is also a reason of liking her character. Even though her role is gray shaded but she brings her acting to make it a flawed as well as layered and honest character. Still in Hindi, Dhara is shown as a mahaan. Lets see how it goes!
