I didn’t get lusty vibes but he was straight up staring at her…I felt it was more shock that she came. I think it was intentional. A lot of people were asking why would Sadaf just assume that he would even want her considering that she isn’t aware of his feelings. I feel like that look told her that he was interested in her.

A gunda can fall in love with a journalist just like that, and the same journalist forgets her long time beau and falls for the gunda out of nowhere without any reason and yet people felt it was convincing.
So idk why nitpicking so much on Bilal's interest in sadaf. If that was compelling enough then this should be too. This selective outrage or criticism is so funny lol.
I don't expect any realism from KRQ. His shows are on its own world.

he already knew she was coming because the assistant told him so that look was not shock per se.
i didn't get lusty but I did get wide eyed nibba jisne pehli dafaa koi ladki dekhi or uski aankhein phati ki phati reh gayi or woh usko takta hi reh gaya. This doesn't fit BA's cktr or the situation. Plus they lingered the camera on wahaj's face for too long while he is staring wide eyed while sadaf is standing in front of him all this time. that lingering camera zoom made it creepy tbh. they should have had wahaj avert his eyes much quickly. like he is awestruck for a second as she steps in but looks away or down quickly so as to not make sadaf uncomfortable or reveal to her how he feels.
If the scene you mentioned was Bilal looking at Sadaf scene, I agree with Aamna. I don't watch Sun Mere Dil but I somewhat follow the reviews. They played that particular clip in SH review and I felt that Amna was right because the expressions were not compatible with that scene. And as far as I remember she didn't say psychotic. And she said that after that particular scene his expressions were apt.
She said gets psychotic vibes from his gaze! Also if you haven't watched the show and just going by the clips then I guess you should watch the entire scene or the show cos without knowing the context it's a bit odd to have a judgement. I follow the show and have watched the entire scene so i know that his expressions were anything but psychotic.

If you notice then Bilal couldn't control himself from literally staring at her! He kept staring at her as if in some kind of trance which actually made Sadaf conscious & awkward... Bilal realises this and then kind of looks away. It was pretty deliberate.

Many shows are far away from realism which is fine as long as they enjoyable and not excessively toxic.
Not every show is meant to be realistic. A journo can fall for a goon, a businessman can fall in love with a girl at first sight, a businessman can become a servant to woo the girl he loves etc etc. It's all good as long as the show is enjoyable.
So far SMD is decent, it's just the pace which is the main issue for me and of course need more screen space for Wahaj.

Exactly this..!!
I m saying this from day 1 that some shows specially love stories does have a touch of fantasy and its fine until and unless its not excessively toxic specially from the ML side..
And the way people are looking for logic in SMD doesn't make sense to me..because no one said that the show is going to be realistic..Its going to be a one sided love story and one sided love in itself is a fantasy...!! So this show has to be a little bit melodramatic to fantasize the story and its characters..!!
Beheno kuch bhi bolo even after 10 episodes no one is being able to guess the storyline 😂
