Is he really doing this show? Because Ali Raza is almost confirmed for this show, he mentioned in his interview that's he's doing a six sigma ary project next.

Promotions plays a huge role. Telugu actor Nani admitted why his film failed is because they promoted the movie as rom com, but movie turned out to be family drama which is why audience were disappointed with the movie.
Teasers and promos gives an idea to people on what to expect from a show. He signed mein when he was in hype due to tb.
I do wish he does a critical drama before tb 2 where the show is not centred around mohabbat.
And chemistry is lauded and talked about before almost all shows now. It’s like the in thing to do.
Has Wahaj made some mistakes? Probably, but not everything is his fault nor is every project a bad one.

More than love, it was his ego and mein because of which he pursued ayra. He couldn't digest the fact that he was played by his dad and was manipulated into saying yes to the marriage with Mubashira.
It was his zidd to have her in his life. He didn't wanted to give in, that's why tried hard and made sure he gets married to ayra. And in the end he lost everything, both his wife's, his family and was back to living a bachelorette life 😂

Cool. I explained why people think he is doing same kind of projects and not given leverage as his contemporaries. Because except actors like Danish and feroz, no actor is doing same genre (promoted genre) shows like him. He needs to do a show where everything is not about love for neutral audience to appreciate him. He has potential to do big.
Okay so jn had no hype whatsoever, tcm, rej the other danish shows have had absolutely no buzz on sm still they get views. And its all okay because danish is a star, and nobody can question his starpower.
But wahaj shows mein and smd views are somehow fake and bought. Although unlike danish shows which come and go and nobody cares, these 2 shows of wahaj have had huge sm hype, are being discussed everywhere, edits are being on insta which get thousands of likes.
Danish and feroze ka no buzz wala show gets insane views that's because of their starpower. But if wahaj's shows gets views that's fake and bought. Ye toh wahi baat ho gayi, 'twada kutta tommy sadda kutta kutta'.

But for that he needs to be offered those kind of shows right. Fact is right now ptv isn't like what it was before. They are more into making masala content and earning money.
He isn't part of hum camp, so he isn't offered hum shows. Right now he has only 2 big channels to work with and that's geo and ary. Ary has their own favorites like sheheryer, ushna and other actors. Green channel's shows are promising but they soon fizzle out.
He did experiment before with jbg, but he received no awards for it altho critics liked his performance. It didn't get much views either. So what's the point. Just to make some biased reviwers happy, he can't do critically acclaimed shows that get hardly any ratings or views.
Both mein and smd were highly promising on paper but the execution went wrong. Wahaj was somehow sidelined in both the show's but still mein turned out to be a superhit drama with high ratings. Smd also could have done well if the pace wasn't this slow. But kaddu uncle's greed wants the show to be a billion view drama that's why they are stretching it to increase epi count.

I think you missed the point. Marketing can be done in whatever way the production house and channel plan but that won't change the genre and story of the show. A family drama will remain a family drama and not turn into a love story even if it's promoted as one...Nani signed a family drama and not a love story even if it was promoted as one which certainly is poor marketing and nothing to do with the actor signing that said project
Coming to love..most stories are love stories be it IM or TB or Mann Jogi or gentleman etc etc. The difference is the world & premise & genre.
It's a myth that only critical dramas have quality content. There are cause based dramas which are boring and unable to resonate with the audience. I do not mind if he does another commercial project provided he opts for a different genre and solid script with a central role..rest is upto Wahaj, he is in the business so certainly he knows what he is doing, his career, his choice.

Keep the discussion to actors and show, please don't bring other actors into the discussion.

@bold He gracefully accepted it is fault on their part to promote film as rom com instead of blaming audience for failing the film.
It's called taking accountability. If the show and character is good, credit goes to only actor, if the show is bad then it is makers responsibility. It doesn't work like that.
Mann jogi dealt with dark concept with love story as side track, GM received huge criticism for selling love story for supposed to be crime show.
