Ratings can be tweaked too tbh and if they indeed were buying views then they would have bought more views. 😭😂
Tbh the show has an audience. The comment section of the episodes are where one can find what the audience thinks those who are watching it online.

You can understand absurd how some of the criticisms are. Like they have a problem with Wahaj only wearing suits in his ast few shows

Tbh one can find randomest content which garners views on YT, what I like might not be something the other person would and vice versa.... And beta is one thing and a commercial project is another. Kadwani is no idiot to treat his commercial projects and invest more in them the way he would do so for his own son. SMD is not to hype or promote Wahaj's career and as a producer he would want to earn from the project instead of spending more money on it and incurring losses.
Also there is a pattern of bought views. They do not grow gradually in an organic manner...you will find more views within few seconds or inorganic spikes...nothing of this sorts hasn't happened with SMD.
So, yeah whatever views and ratings SMD is garnering is organic so far
True, but why are we downplaying YouTube views? If they didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be flaunted like they are. To me, TRPs represent a Pakistani audience and YouTube views include a global one. Even TB sometimes ran in the 9 range but views on YouTube grew so fast within a short period of time. Plus the social media hype for it was hard to compete with. Although MPTH had the highest TRPs, from an international point of view, it was TB that got more attention. My point is, that both are important in their own way. Why are we quick to call a show with decent ratings but low YouTube views a hit, while calling a show with lower TRPs and high YouTube views a flop? And truthfully TRPs seem to be high for a lot of shows at the moment, even those without a big star, but the YouTube views are harder to get. No one is denying the fact that SMD isn’t getting high ratings but I don’t see the point of downplaying its success with YouTube views. Honestly I think the pacing is too slow to watch live.
Views are one of the sources of revenue so they do matter. Ratings of course matter more
One sided lover in Mein? He admitted to not actually loving Ayra and it was Mubashira that fell in love with him. Mein was a wrong choice for many reasons but Wahaj playing a one-sided lover isn’t one of them.Originally posted by: Sparkle232
Till now in every other platforms Bilal is seen as a character who is one side lover just like his previous characters (except for fans). Coincidentally or not wahaj is playing one side lover characters in his shows back to back.

Didn't he pin for ayra for 70% of the show? Isn't it ayra who actually rejected him in last episode.
He didn’t pine for her…he would just butt heads with his dad and MJ. It had very little to do with love and that was the point. There was no love there and both admitted that. Maybe a friendship but no lover would admit that they don’t love the person. He did that at the beginning and in the middle. It was pretty clear that he was trying to do the right thing but love didn’t really play a part there. There was no lover boy aura to him in that. Romance is almost the most common thing with most shows unless it’s a social cause drama…even those have a romance angle. The common things among these shows is that they are all big budget shows. None of them are content based, social cause type dramas. Maybe that’s what seems similar amongst them. Even Ishq Jalebi is a romance and seems one sided at one point.

After his marriage with mubhashira, he was the one infront of ayra house where she had to ask him to go as he is married man. Just because he said it in the last that he didn't love, it doesn't undo whatever he did till the end especially marrying ayra and trying to romance her.
Ok agree to disagree, his motivations didn’t come across as a one sided lover because he clarified before marrying her that he wasn’t even sure if he loved her…it wasn’t at the end.Originally posted by: Sparkle232

Every actor opens themselves up for criticism and Wahaj isn’t above that. It’s completely fair to have an opinion about him. If his work doesn’t compel anyone to watch him anymore then it’s also fair to stop watching him. I just think Wahaj gets more scrutiny than other artists and that’s my only point. I think a lot of what is said about him could be said about other artists in different aspects.
