You really think with this weeks entire focus being on zaviyar, sadaf, marhum and falana dhimkana with no bilal or bilsad in sight the trps would increase?
I'm sure it's gonna drop further, and would go back to 5s and 6s.
People say KRQ shows start slow and then a dhamaka moment comes jiske baad drama zor pakadta hai. For SMD, e8 where Sadaf propositions BA was supposed to be that dhamaka moment. Iss moment ke baad bhi TRP nahi zor pakdi toh aagay bhi nahi pakday gi.
I think we should just accept the reality that SMD is more like KRQ's Mann Jali than PA/MPTH. In Mann Jali, the focus was on Mehwish and her journey, and Faris was the selfless ek tarfa pyaar. Kaddu tried to sell SMD as BA ki story but the writing does not support it. The writing is about Sadaf ki zindagi, uske masle masayal, how she overcomes her struggles, how her feelings for BA evolve and transition. BA is just this one-dimensional cktr whose only job is being in one-sided love with Sadaf and worshipping at her altar. At least in MPHT, we saw Saad as a brother and a son, his breakdown at his father's death, his camaraderie with his sister. Here BA has no identity besides being selflessly in love with Sadaf. But they don't even bother with properly setting up or showing why or how BA got to this point -- that just tells you how (not) central is BA's cktr. BA apparently has a backstory but we will likely get a few lines of exposition dump in one episode, never to be heard again. His drunkenness never surfaced again after e3. We never saw BA having any struggles with overcoming his addiction nor we will see that journey of his either. All we will get is filler scenes of BA moping so makers can pretend it is BA's story. Whether it was writing, direction acting, BA as an addict and womanizer subplot was just wall paper thin and his change beginning e3 had zero depth and writing support, and doubt it will do later as well.
Another project of Wahaj with misleading marketing.
