Whether Urdu is the first or second official language in those states, it’s spoken by a good number of people. They would know if an actor mispronounces words. I wasn’t the only one who thought Jennifer shouldn’t have spoken Urdu. Arfa felt the same & we belong to different states.

Ohh gosh! Jennifer's was playing a character whose mother tongue was Urdu. She like literally postmortemed that language. She just couldn't. Where was the use of nuqta/epiglottitis. Also in few toh forget about pronouncing wrong, she said the word wrong. Harshad was playing someone who speaks Hindi and he was better than her in Urdu

That clip we saw recently where she pronounced ma’azrat as mazraat felt like a muder of Urdu language

She has delivered verses in Sanskrit in Beyhadh 2. That would have been difficult for her as well being from catholic BG. She could have done a similar kind of hard work for Zoya as well.

Also I do agree Urdu is these days mostly used by Muslims but not all Muslims use Urdu. So stereotyping of Urdu with Muslim I find weird. Bcz famous and popular Urdu poets are not Muslims..Gulzaar hi lelo.

Urdu is now mostly used by Muslims that's why it is associated with Muslims. But it doesn't mean that non muslims can't speak Urdu. It's a Indo-Aryan language but as it's national language of Pak and pak is a Muslim country that's why it is considered as Muslim's language.
