.. Trauma/ptsd/many mental illnesses do NOT result in violent tendencies.. Violence is a choice.. Unless they specify that he suffers from a neurological disease that does cause people to behave like this (like some forms of schizophrenia), i want the blame to land only on hassan and not some repressed childhood issue...

Also did any one find numair's reaction on seeing zara all beaten up very underwhelming... They are pretty much each others close friends.. It was almost a non reaction.. I don't think i have seen this actor before but I've read lots of comments praising him but I'm finding him very one note, with the same expression inspite of any situation... Not liking it much.

I agree that domestic violence cannot and should not be excused under the garb of childhood trauma or some mental disorder. Hassan should be provided therapy while in jail and Zara should seek divorce and walk away from this nightmare for good.

But since there are repeated hints of a backstory that explains some of his reactions and anger, I think that can be revealed. However, this does not necessarily imply that Zara or anyone else needs to feel sympathy for him. He definitely deserves to be punished for beating her black and blue.

Apart from domestic violence, the other message that could be sent out is for young women to not ignore the red flags and that mental illnesses need to be treated with professional help rather than mere explaining and talking by family members.

Watched all the rest of the episodes.

The domestic violence part was quite disturbing n they shot it very carefully n very cleverly without getting into any trouble.

I really hope this is it for Zara n she never goes back no matter what.

If Hassan is not stable,it's not zara's job to change him. He needs treatment n knowing about his condition, more than him I blame his dadi for getting him married n ruining a girl's life n causing so much trauma to her.

I hope her dadi doesn't start with "ye sabh sehna padta hei " stuffssmiley11I hope she never goes back to him n they get divorced.

Caught up with all the missing episodes and honestly I am loosing interest in the show. Mohib's character is making me wanna throw up.

Why do people glamorize toxic behavior in TV shows?

Actually, this latest episode has again increased audience interest in Jafaa, and this is what is happening in Jafaa. The interest of the audience gets down, then something happens, and interest again spikes. After initial support (mostly from FT fans), interest in the drama was getting down, and then force marriage happened, and interest increased. Now, when interest in the drama was again getting down, this abuse episode came, and interest again spiked.

Last weeks epi was very disturbing to see. Though they didn’t show Hasan beating up Zara on screen still we could imagine what must have happened. Hats off to the director. smiley32 One of the things they did it here is that they showed how Zara despite being a doctor had to endure this. Like mostly we think it’s cos there’s no financial independence people continue in their abusive relationships. Zara’s parents were against her going back but I think she wanted to give another chance. Yet she wasn’t completely naive. She was using contraceptive so that they dont have kids until she is sure which was a smart move on her part. Second she called to check on him. As for her leaving after creating issue it was probably cos she was fed up of the lies and had enough. And reacted like any other person. with numair and andaleep
They are showing how there’s another kind of arrange marriage also. The guy is good and supports you. Deepu I feel is too childish maybe cos of her age. Numair on the other hand just tired after seeing so many life experiences especially being an oncologist he must be delivering bad news all the time which can take a toll on someone’s mental health. Its good there’s Deepu who can bring colour to his life. If it was deepus kind of parents and Hasan like partner then it would have been biggest tragedy which is what happens to most of the girls. But another reason girls don’t tell anyone what they go through is because in a way they don’t want people to know what is happening in their marriage. Like the guy could be beating you up still u feel guilty of speaking up in reality the one abusing you should feel guilty.

The episode was good. I liked how supportive Zara's parents are, especially her mother. People like her dadi really reiterate that women are women's biggest enemies. Such people, with their so-called age and 'wisdom', normalise abuse and teach their sons to be abusive too. Extremely unfortunate.

It was emotional to see Zara literally crying out for her parents on the hospital bed. They are ultimately the only ones she can rely on during this tough time. But I still feel jailing Hassan won't solve the actual problem going on with him. He needs psychiatric treatment.

I also don't buy this Andaleeb being pregnant thing. I mean, they have literally skipped the romance part in Deebu-Numair's story. We never got to see how they fell in love and now suddenly, they want us to believe that she is pregnant!

Numair should have been honest with Deebu about his medical condition. Although he did say he didn't want a child, he still should have been upfront with her. Now that Deebu's pregnant miraculously, hope they don't show him doubting the paternity of the child. That would be totally unlike his character which has so far been mature, rational and calm.
