the two theories I have regarding MoNa baby other than the fact that Mohsin didn't want another child is as follows:
1) Ayna: Mohsin wants a child now but Ayna doesn't.
We all know how stressed and problematic pregnancy ayna had with all the hiding and divorce and lying, etc...and then Maaz was taken away from her as well... Despite her extreme maternal love toward the all the kids,, she was always yearning for Maaz in her heart. ...we saw all the scenes were she talks about a "theoratical / fictional " Maaz she has dreamt up in her mind. Maaz was this, Maaz was that.
She even celebrated his birthday.
So subconsciously, Maaz was always in her mind and therefore, she couldn't let go of this phenom...and maybe MoNa tried to have a baby but ...
a) Ayna disagreed.. She now, didn't want another child. Not after her Maaz Experience
b) she genuinely couldn't make herself to agree for another child because she was so busy raising these 3...We've seen how tired Ayna gets and everyone praises her housekeeping skills. 3 kids and all around the same age, along with a set of twins amongst them. Probably took a toll of her.
2) Mohsin: Ayna wants a child but Mohsin doesn't
This theory is pretty much the same to the show, Mohsin doesn't want another child because
a) he already has 3
b) he's afraid to loose Ayna in childbirth as well
c) He feels like Ayna will give more importance to their biological child and he can't have that.
3) MoNa tired
How do we know MoNa didn't try to have another child?
Maybe this is the reason they are so distant ?
they could have gone through a stillbirth/miscarriage/something else and it tore them apart even more...
For all we know, Maybe MoNa were happy, like truly happy in the story book manner when the kids were young and then MoNa thought they could have another child, ( Obviously the kids don't remeber this, they were too young)
But they were unsuccessful or something traumatic happened. and it caused Mohsin or Ayna to distance themselves from each other.
Mohsin: Probably thought it was his fault, he should've never changed his mind and let Ayna go though something like this
Ayna: Mohsin was right, after Maaz and now this, I don't have the capacity for another heartbreak, I will give my love to these 3 kids...etc
4) Their lives were working out.
MoNa weren't story book happy but they were happy to be raising a family together and they love each other in the low-key undeclared manner.
So what was the point to bringing in a new variable to the family ( a child)
