"My height sets me apart from others!"

A blend of red and copper streaks, an elegant body to match and a craze for her wardrobe niceties, Karishma Tanna believes in comfort more than style!

The actor who was last seen in Zee's Paalkhi ignores the trends, and makes her own style statement! Riya V Anandwala finds out Tanna's preferences…

" I look good sarees, because of my height!"- Karishma Tanna

Being stylish or being comfortable, what's your pick?
Without doubt, comfort!

What does being in vogue mean to you?
Well, I don't believe in following trends. I wear what I like and believe in carrying it off well.

Has your hair witnessed streaks?
Yes, I have streaked my hair. Well, I am not really impressed with those blonde locks, so I have a tinge of red and a blend of copper, which looks beautiful!

In how much time can we see Karishma Tanna, all set to go?
Just about half an hour!

Indian wear or western apparel- what's your call?
Well, both!(laughs) I look good in sarees also, as I have a very good height to carry it off.

What name can we find on your clothes tag?
I shop for clothes mostly in Malaysia and Bangkok! I go there once to stock up for the entire year. I mostly shop from the malls there, and they are fab!

To which footwear stops can we trace your footsteps?
For my keds it's Nike, chappals and sandals are mostly from Catwalk.

" I don't believe in being modish"- Karishma Tanna

Anything in your wardrobe which makes you go crazy?
I am crazy about bags, perfumes and actually everything in my wardrobe (laughs).

What's triggered off in your mind when you think Indian fashion?
Chiffon sarees!

Any accessory close to your heart?
My diamond pendant gifted to me by my mom and my diamond ring which I bought from my first pay cheque.

Are you fond of anyone's dress sense, in tellydom?
None of the men, please! Among the girls, there are many, Gauri Pradhan is certainly one of them. And also Anita, she carries herself very well!

Who tops your list amongst the designers?
Manish Malhotra. Though his clothes are a little expensive, but worth it!

What sets you apart from the others?
I guess my height! Another thing, the way I carry myself. Whether I am done up in a western theme, or even if I wear sarees, my height and carriage set me apart in a beautiful way!

A tip for your viewers?
I don't believe in being modish or following the trends, so for women it's very important to dress up elegantly. Another thing which I don't believe in, is skin show. Girls out there, be feminine
