hi you asked what palkhi means...it is doli in ancient times when cars were not there and the brothers carried the palki on their shoulders to see off their sister to her sasural and her dulha walked beside the palkhi....so it is doli but palkhi was used in olden times some use them now but to take their sister just up to the flowery decorated car... take care regards.....fortune cookie
