Everytime i used to watch homeland , i always wondered if we would ever see a show like that on indian television & then i read an article on homeland being made for the indian audiences & i was excited though i did feel apprehensions regarding their treatment of the same. then i saw the first episode & they hit the ball out of park right from there. i literally had tears in that first episode & even the last scene in last episode leaves u emotional.

i would start with thanking nikhil advani for even trying to attempt something so different on indian televison which is full of same kind of dramas. everything from the cast , characters , dialogues was perfect . i am happy to say that they have delivered on their quality of content which makes it stand out amongst the crowd. we have lived this journey of the three pows & their families .it is very rare to feel connected to a fictional show & characters but they have done the impossible.i have felt myriad of emotions during the course of the show .

SATYADEEP:- he has been my first fav in this series. he looks dashing in that air force uniform but his performance is what had made me his fan. the best thing about him was his ability to convey emotions w/o any dialogues & he has done that in many scenes.he has been such a revelation & i am glad he was chosen for iman khan because no one could have done it better then him. he has made his character alive. i always felt connected to him. i sympathized with him when shaira would ill treat him & literally disliked her . after 17 years of torture this was the last thing he deserved. i loved it when he danced on jugni before his wedding broke. satyadeep was just amazing as iman . he had managed to make us feel for his character. iman would always be remembered for being equivalent of a brave soldier & someone who always cared for others but himself.

ANURAG:- i fell in love with him as i started watching his story since he was introduced in mid season. he came, he saw & he just conquered. what a gem of performer he is.he got the most complex character & he aced it. the transformation of siddhant to sadiq was one hell of a task but he passed with flying colors. ever since sid came on our screens , i have enjoyed that carefree young boy who had dreams , aspirations & was passionate bout his country & loved his sister the most. the trauma that he endures in that cell broke him even though he tried his best to keep himself together . his friendship with iman & sartaj & their scenes together are one of my most favorite parts of this show .the difference in the body language of sid the moment he was promoted as jaish commander was brilliant. sadiq was introduced as a shy , mature , silent person but the moment he becomes the commander he took the responsibility of leader without any hesitation. anurag has clean bowled me with his portrayal. even though sid messed up but i could never hate him , infact all i felt for him was disappointment more then anger. he was a tragic hero. everytime he told sartaj that jai has to die & ending cant be changed i really wished he could get a happy ever after & meet his sister. his dialogue delivery was perfect for the situation he was in. anurag has made siddhant thakur unforgettable & his lt. siddhant thakur , rajasthan rifles will be etched forever in our minds & hearts.

MANISH:- I have made a post on major vikram singh sometimes ago. he was the most selfless person in the show. for him country was always first even before his personal life. he was a men who was practical yet emotional enough to differentiate between right & wrong. manish has given a very balanced performance. his character required him to balance the emotions & logic & he did that successfully. his dialogues in the last episode were like golden words. he deserves all the applause. he has been stupendous in his performance.

AMRITA;- i loved her as harleen.i never for a second felt as if i am watching a show & to me she did looked like a girl from punjab. her punjabi dialect & dialogue delivery was perfect. harleen was an independent women who instead of crying & cursing her destiny had made a mark for herself. amrita / harleen was adorable & sweet. her emotional scenes were so powerful. she truly was exceptional.

SANDHYA:- No one could have played naaz better then sandhya . i loved her wardrobe as well. it suited her character well. her journey from a house wife to a celebrated chef was wonderful. i loved sandhya & satyadeep's chemistry a lot. she did full justice to varying shades of naaz's character whether she was a mom , a wife , a daughter in law , friend or a civilian who would didn't mind risking her life for the country. i loved the way women empowerment message was shown in this show w/o any noise but conveyed powerfully by the characters .it was great to see her back on screen after such a long time.

LALA:- the actor who had played the antagonist was awsum. i loved his scenes with sid. he really did full justice to his character. i never thought lala would be so well educated but he played the master manipulator to the t.

SARTAJ:- purab has done full justice to sartaj though i never felt too connnected with him but his torture scenes were painful to watch & so was his death. he was a men who was conflicted due to his guilt. he had troubles adjusting to his own world but still when he finally found happiness it was short lived. he dyed a martyr saving civilians & couldn't even see his child.

each & every actor has done a terrific job in the show & its difficult to not applaud all of them whether it was rohan who is a cutie pie ,shobha, arjun , hussain , shaira , ayan , satpal , veera, santosh, yusuf ,jadaun, afreen . even the side characters had something to add to story & they left their mark when ever the story required them to do so.

loved all the couples in this show. i felt each couple denoted a different shade of love. the songs & bg music of the show was another feather in cap for the makers. each song was appropriate for the situation.

POW succeeded where homeland failed as i never felt connected to brody there but here the writers have managed to make that strong connection with their characters. i loved this show & yes there were some shortcomings too but the stellar cast made up for it.

i would like to end with my goodbye to the finest show on indian telly in ages & wish the entire cast & crew all the best for their future projects. may we see them back on our screens soon.

thanks star plus for pow.

Adios pow team!

It was a privilege to watch such amazing talent together on screen!

It was indeed the best show I have seen in a very very long time...this for me was even better than some of the best American shows coz I had never been in my life got so connected and affected by fictional characters and their story like I did with P.o.w.
THE BEST ENSEMBLE CAST EVER!

All the characters were so beautifully written and enacted with perfection.
The supporting cast was fabulous.
All d love stories had different shades of love ! One was a mature love story of Imaan and Naaz , other was of acceptance - of Harleen and Sartaj and the third was of silent , unspoken love which was beyond boundaries - that of Sid and Afreen
All different yet beautiful in their own way

The music was surreal , so pure and beautiful!

The direction , the cinematography , dialogues , costume..each ans every department did their job with PERFECTION!

Truly the DREAM TEAM !

I am going to miss this show and the characters..what a beautiful , heartbreaking , bittersweet JOURNEY it has been...we laughed , cheered , cried , felt disappointed , rejoiced and felt proud..myriads of emotions !
What an AMAZING AND SPECTACULAR JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN !
It's like we lived and experienced what the characters felt through the journey...we embarked on this memorable journey with them!

MEMORABLE ! Yes I think Memorable is the right word to describe this entire journey.

This was such a real , hard hitting and an emotional show..it was really thought provoking...it pushed us to think and ponder upon the hard realities of life...THE TRAGIC REALITY OF OUR SOLDIERS !
A show which was path breaking and which left a deep impact on our minds and forced us to think and get up and personal with the lives of not only the soldiers but also their families...it made us face the TRUTH..THE KORA SACH ! - which was painful but as real as it can get !

A BIG THANK U TO THE TEAM FOR PUTTING UP A SHOW LIKE P.O.W. AND GIVING US THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO WITNESS AND GET TO KNOW SOME OF THE FINEST ACTORS OF OUR COUNTRY
Especially ANURAG ! IF it wasn't for P.o.w.I would have never know that a brilliant actor like ANURAG SINHA even excited..I was aware about the rest but for me ANURAG was a surprise ! And I am so greatful that I got to know about him and watch him weave his magic on screen.
He has become my favourite !

I will miss our discussions which were always very healthy which I really appreciated..we all felt so comfortable in putting across our point views without fearing any kind of backlash...it was always very friendly and a healthy discussion. It was the best forum where there were no fan wars and we all could freely appreciate our favourite actors and even praise other actors also!
Gonna miss this show and this forum very much !

Wish the entire cast all d best for their future endeavours and wish we can see them asap on our screens again
Dying to see Anurag back on my screen already !
M MISSING EVERYONE ALREADY !
GOD! IT IS GOING TO TAKE TIME TO GET USED TO P.O.W. LESS DAYS...this show has spoilt our habit ! Now in comparison to this show all other shows seem so mediocre that I don't feel like watching TV !
JUST WANT THE ACTORS TO COME BACK ASAP NOW..ANURAG COME BACK ASAP 😳

Thank u and see u people !

Jitni Taareef ki jaye utni kum hai..

From A to Z, the show was fabulous..

Each and every character depicted beautifully a certain trait of human behavior...

Imaan - The Inner Strength - Such a wonderful character.. His character, his life itself is a lesson of gratitude, a lesson to keep going, keep fighting.. To value the gifts of god ... Life is short and it may not make itself worthy of us, but at least we can try to become worthy of life..

Vikram - Patriotism and humanity.. He had the heart to forgive Imaan and Sartaj when they accepted they had killed Sid.. He had the heart to forgive him when they confessed that they had planted the bomb at NSA.. He always had those eyes, which knew to differentiate between a perpetrator and a victim.. Neither a victim was punished by him nor any criminal could escape from him.. Such was the duty bound officer he was.. A wonderful human being who spoke less but spoke meaningful and did the rightful..

Harleen - perseverance - I loved the part about her in the show that post Sartaj left, she completed her education and became a self made woman in her village... She had immense patience and understood her husband at every step.. I also loved that post Indira fiasco, she made Sartaj work for their relationship and just did not give in easily.. She loved him but also kept her self respect intact..

Sartaj - Simplicity - His story and life was quite simple and just like Purab said in his FB chat that till Sartaj was there his presence did not make an impact as much as his death made.. That was a heart rending moment.. Had wished a happy ending for him but just like all were the pawns in the hands of time in this show, so was Sartaj Singh..

Veera and Satpal - Innocence - The sweet couple even with their little SS and cute nok jhoks were pleasant to watch..

Naazneen - Dignity.. She was indeed the smart woman of the show.. Another self made woman, a celebrity.. A single mother to her kids just like Shobha.. I loved the self confidence with which Naaz spoke.. The authority in her voice... Truly a Nayi Soch...

Salim - Patience and Sacrifice.. Strange are the ways of life... The whole Khan family had thought that they have lost Imaan and at the end it was Salim whom they lost.. A pure heart, another wonderful soul of the show.. He just by being there made everyone's life so much simpler.. Naaz, Shaira, Ayaan, Mrs. Khan all could count on him...

Shobha - Self Respect - Another strong woman of the show who endlessly waited for her brother to return.. All she asked for a second chance for him.. Unfortunately she never got one.. Just like Vikram she was also very forgiving... Be it Imaan, Sartaj or Afreen she understood their situations and accepted / welcomed all of them in her life with open arms..

And last but not the least our very own lost boy, Siddhant / Sadiq... He had everything .. Love in his heart, vulnerability in his soul, junoon in his spirit and a mind of great intelligence.. The only thing he didn't had was destiny by his side and a right direction in his motives...He was one of the most fascinating and a complex character.. Can't thank the makers enough for telling the story of his life.. For years he yearned for love and togetherness... His life had very few moments of happiness and they also short lived ... the poor soul found peace only in death... A human being or a terrorist, his story will forever keep oscillating between these two extremes... :(

Enjoyed the show to the fullest... Loved everyone's acting ...All have made the show one of the most memorable one... From acting to the sets to the costumes to everything that came in front of our eyes everything was so real and relatable ..

Anurag and Satyadeep were my favorite, as actors as characters..They have made Siddhant and Imaan become unforgettable...

The show has showed the mirror of reality to the audience as it is.. It was beautiful watching, reading and writing a lil about the most wonderful shows..

Thank You for this thread..

Thank you POW..

I hope this show has a re run.. 😃

Thank you so much for this wonderful show. It was not a regular show which I see on tv daily , earlier I used to predict the story which most of the times come true but here not my single prediction come true. This show has raised the bar of Indian Television shows now watching any other show will not be the same. After seeing this type of great content with perfect execution i can't see other shows with the same perspective which i used to watched it earlier.

The credit of success of the show should be given to each and every person who worked so hard for 1 year to give us this outstanding experience. I would like to thank each and every person related to the show writers, director, actors, editor, casting director who discover these talented actors, set designer, costumes designer, makeup and hair artists, singer and composer of amazing songs, channel starplus ,etc (sorry if i forget any department)

Thank you Anurag, Sataydeep, Sandhya, Manish, Rasika, Purab, Amrita, Parul, Sahil and all the supporting cast for bringing life to these well written characters.

Thanks Nikhil Advani and his term for showing us realities and pain of Indian solider's life and for not changing your content to gain TRP.

Beautiful post Megha and POW was indeed something. Among men it was Satyadeep and Anurag for me as far as performance goes. Among ladies it was Sandhya and Rasika. What differentiated the show was it showed the conflicts of men and strength of women. And interestingly it was not through loud dialogues ( though there were many beautiful dialogues the epilogue dialogue on Iman taking the cake. There is not a man like him who has lost much, there is not a man who is as lonely as him), it was through simple gestures we felt it.
Also unlike other shows where every characters other than protagonist job is to make life hell for protoganists this show showed the positivity in humans. Whether it is Shobha who is able to forgive Iman or Sartaj or Harleen who hugs Afreen it showed beautiful positive sentiments that inspire you. They showed some beautiful relations that of Veera-Satpal and Harleen. I mean how much Veera and Satpal respect and love their bhabi and acknowledge her contribution for the family. Salim and Naz . yes they fell in love but never once compromised their principles. the proud boy Ayan, ferocious daughter Shaira, everything had something to it positive.

The characters were human not Gods or Devils which was another beauty of the show. Once again hats of to Nikhil Advani for this show and thank you Megha for asking me to watch it. I watched it because you told homeland is a good show and I should try its remake. It was worth every minute of time spent.

After Ek tha Chander Ek thi Sudha I would say POW is a good scripted show I have watched and will be waiting to watch something beautiful

it was a class apart from the rest of the same kind of shows that air on television all the time . Apart from actors nothing is different in them, all have same storyline. Pow can't be even compared to them
