I am still not sure what to make you about Stockholm Syndrome Justification given , because honestly Its Scary ...It too Deep . So at one point I felt like FCUK and it made me understand Siddhant's Psyche , but at other end it feels as if Makers took easy way out .But since this topic is about Siddhnant . I am just I'll talk about him because finally amidst unwanted FB saga , finally I see something being shown to me which Finally made me SEE Siddhant and Connect with her Psyche .Any random person doesn't suffer from SS , people have had an history with Shocks or any life turning moment which affects them these people starts cultivating thier own Defence mechanisms ...The 15 yrs torture that Siddhant suffered started impacting his mind , He became his Vulnerable most , on the verge of giving up his Life ...and in such situations in comes Lala showing same Compassion showing himself as a victim of governments war and add to that unadulterated Love from Hussain and Afreen . He believes in Humanity Shit feeded .I love Vikram today for just seeing Siddhant as Human Only . A Human who did Wrong , also was Wronged the Most , got played because of the disorder he Suffered from .What I LOVE Most about POW today is , The Impact that the Torture can have on one and how SS's defence mechanism can be developed .This was New for me , so thank you writers .I watched POW since start ...but I'l be honest I never ever enjoyed it the way I did post Siddhant's entry ...the Man had got me on the edge of my seats !!! I was Crazy Ride .I love Anurag's describing Sadiq in the Live Chat Video ...Though Sid was my Fav , but the Sadiq's Mystery always intrigued me , those eyes and questions in those always allured me . And now when I know the reason It just breaks my Heart .Anurag Sinha ... ThankYou !! My words wont do any justice to what you presented to me .Thank You so much ... !!!!PS: I still have lots unanswered question though !!! which makers dint care at all to explain .Also the Sloppy Editing and Rushed Sequences of last Week ...will Irk me ALWAYS !!!! π

LOVED UR POST! AGREE WITH EACH AND EVERY WORD!SIDDHANT THAKUR - For me he has been the most well written and well enacted character of this show. What a complex character - It had so many layers, shades and myriads of emotions !He was a man as you said DESERVED THE BEST BUT GOT THE WORST !SIDDHANT THAKUR was many things, He was a loving brother, a brave soldier, the best student, a loyal Indian P.O.W., a true friend - The Jai of P.O.W. , a faithful husband , a loving Dushman, a would be father and a HUMAN BEING!But DESTINY PLAYED A CRUEL GAME WITH HIM and the tag he got was "A TERRORIST'No matter what tag he got for the world but to those he mattered knew who he was deep down..HE WAS AN INDIAN - FROM HIS MIND , BODY AND SOUL..HE WAS THAT APNA WHO GOT WRONGED! HE WAS A HUMAN BEING!He was the most tragic character ! - He got the tag of a terrorist, he died in guilt, he didn't get time to rectify his mistakes, to repent, he will never be able to see his child not his child will see his father's face, he was the one who was wronged the most but the world would never know! All his good deeds got overshadowed by one mistake! A mistake of trusting a man like Lala...But as Vikram explained will anyone ever know the reasonIt was not only the "THE STOLKHOLM SYNDROME" but also the fact that he was HUMAN - A LOVING, COMPASSIONATE HUMAN BEING who unconditionally loved a child ! A child whom he had no relation to...HE WAS ONLY HUMAN !What Imaan and Sartaj got unfortunately he never got - TIME !Time and destiny were never in his favour as if they had pre decided that "ENDING CHANGE NAHI HOGI - JAI KO JANA HI HOGA" π...If Afreen had made that call before the mission then SARTAJ WOULD NOT HAVE DIED...JAI KO JANA NA PADTA , ENDING BADAL JATIBut as they say there are no ifs and but's in LIFE...LIFE WAS UNFAIR TO SIDDHANT THAKUR , DESTINY WAS UNFAIR TO HIM AND TIME WAS UNFAIR TO HIM !SIDDHANT THAKUR - the man he once was and the man he could have been if onlyyy...AND THAT IS WHY HE IS MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER - the most tragic, heartbreaking and a beautiful character !And WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT ANURAG SINHA - I am in complete awe of him...He is an ENIGMA! A STAR which I hope shines the brightest always! He is such a great performer...He made me fall in love with SIDDHANT THAKUR.He doesn't need words to emote, his eyes are so expressive, they do all the talking , it's like through his eyes you can look right into his heart and soul which are so pure and that gets reflected in his acting - SO PURE , REAL AND GENUINE !Siddhant is sucha complex character to perform - His entire journey of 17 years had so many layers, emotions, phases and transformations in the character and the ease and fineness with which Anurag portrayed each transition and brought SIDDHANT to LIFE is nothing but PERFECTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! πI wish him all d happiness and success in life coz an actor and a human being like him deserves the best and nothing lessWish to see him on screen in many memorable roles for many many years to come
Bae, where were you? I was missing yaπHonestly even I feel the makers took the easy route going the Stockholm syndrome way. I'm not questioning their decision to shape the character this way but as an avid Siddhant lover I would have loved seeing his journey minus the psychological disorder. Because disorder made every explaination look so easy and palatable.May be it was us who got too intrigued by the layering and complexity of the character of Sadiq n Siddhant and felt that there could be so much more that could be shown to us. But having said that I would applaud the makers for writing something as bold as POW. Everything said and done it will continue to be the best show I've watched I recent times.I loved today's episode. For quite a number of reasons. Firstly I felt that Siddhant's journey deserved to be shown more so since it was only him where we had to depend on our perceptions and self imagination. Hence the narration along with flashbacks played an important role in shaping up that perception which the makers wanted us to have.Secondly I am happy that Sid won't be considered as an out n out terrorist. Rather he will remembered for a man who was human enough to make mistakes but never got the second opportunity to rectify them. Thirdly, Siddhant's kid would get acceptance from his own family and that for me is a huge huge thing.Fourthly, the last 5-7 minutes were pure bliss with Vik's narrative of the life of soldiers n POWs, finally ending with the three musketeers standing under the Indian flag. That was a goosebump moment. πI don't know what do I really tell about Anurag. He is inexplicable. That man has made me fall incorrigibly in love with Siddhant Thakur, so much so that I no longer consider him to be fictional any more. I feel his pain..Rather both of us do. And that is the biggest achievement for any artist.Besides being the epitomy of talent and brilliance, this man is such a humble soul and so much so that WE can't stop fangirling. π³P.s: Tum kaha gayab hogayi bae?π
