Wonderful episode . I so loved it . Sid's journey was shown & makers were smart enough to introduce Stockholm syndrome in th first frame itself . Vikram answered the question that everyone was wondering about as to how sid transformed into Sadiq in just two years as he developed an affinity for Lala who held him captive because he was vulnerable, his spirit was down ,he was in a place full of darkness where the only light he received was from Hussain & Afreen . They showed him compassion & empathy & Lala I feel knew about afreen's affections for sid & therefore he encouraged them . He was too devoted to his mission & didn't mind using his own family for that . Sid's perspective was explained very well by Vikram today . He has been given a respectful ending . They have explained it well that how he did everything for the love of a child Hussain but chose a wrong path that led to death of innocent civilians & therefore he would be always called as terrorist only even if he didn't have any ill intentions towards India .finally Afreen arrived in India & hats off to Shobha & Vikram for accepting big her without any ill will . I liked how Afreen walked towards Shobha & Rohan towards Hussain . She called him sid's sis but Shobha corrected it to sadiq & hugged her . Harleen & Afreen hugging was a nice scene . Here were two women who lost their husbands but still Harleen didn't held that against Afreen & accepted her . Now I absolutely ❤️ the last scene . It was my fav scene . First my fav iman standing there with tricolour flying & then he imagines his two brothers standing next to him there . I want gif of that scene plz . Some one post it . It is good to see that the show ended on the 3 pows & vikrams narration of their journey was absolutely brilliant .
thank you for your kind words but this forum has some very good writers. Vikram is one who never comes in limelight but does all the work . He always had been in the background but he is the one who executed all the mission successfully despite not having any authority at some times. He is one of the finest & very well written characters . He was practical yet humane enough to understand circumstances.Originally posted by: Sindhu_18
Wow !!How beautifully you have put to words the entire episode which I could barely manage to.I feel so proud of these Army families who rise above petty matters and see beyond self. Harleen could have held Jaish, Afreen, Sadiq and everyone from the other nation responsible for Sartaj's death. But how beautifully she accepted and embraced Afreen.I also liked how, Shobha knows Sid, while Afreen knows Sadiq. But when in front of each other, they wanted to acknowledge him as the person the other one knew and not the one they knew. And the last scene of Imaan standing all alone and looking at our Indian flag was heart breaking and at the same time aroused a sense of love and respect for the country and its soldiers. When Sartaj and Sid joined the screened it looked like as if, all the three were duty bound to their country. It was country above all for them. And they loved their country. And India is, will and always be in their minds no matter alive or dead.I also liked how, the story ended on the POWs and did not shift from that. It ended on the only remaining POW of the three. Also, Vikram. Vikram has always been the one who took a step back at every occasion. He never stood in front to accept paparazzi and recognition. He did all the work, but was always working from behind. Right from the beginning till the very last minute, though Vikram should also have been given importance... The story did justice to both the characters by showing that the POW was the centre of the show. And in line with his character, Vikram was also always the one leading everyone, but was always behind and unrecognised. The way he always wanted to be.
