I think the show has shown the harsh reality of the army families.. and we need to recognise and accept that..
As this is a show we want to see a happy ending in case of sartaj. we would love to see that sartaj would fight the terrorists and will live happily with his wife and kid. but in reality this is the harsh truth which probably is very hard for all of us to digest.
The army men spend very less time with their families as they stay on duty on the borders protecting us and many return home alive or dead. no one is sure of their life. many soldiers who died in the recent attacks are very young people and have very small kids but the family has lost their son for the nation.

this is just a show and we cant digest that sartaj who deserves a happy life with his wife has lost his life for nation the just imagine the plight of these families.. unbearable isn't it??

coming to the show

to say really im ok with the character of sartaj to end though i wished it never happened as it gave a strong message that an Indian soldier is always a soldier and will fight till his last breath protecting us and will never think about himself or his family or his happiness.. this is the truth. there are many sartaj's who die for our nation and there are many harleen's who lost their husbands just within few days of their married life. there are many such cases we heard of during the kargil war. I was in my 4 standard when the kargil war took place and as a kid i have heard of many soldiers dieing and the plight of the families was shown.

at this moment i would like to quote some examples of army families whose sons died during kargil war i have heard of.
Captain Vikram Batra who died in kargil war, his lover is still unmarried today and is just living with his memories..
Major Padmapani acharya who died in kargil war while his wife was pregnant back home. the man never saw his kid. He wanted to have a daughter and his daughter was born after his death. now the family wants to send the girl to armed forces as now even girls are given an entry into it..

such is the harsh reality of the army families. though they lose their sons for the nation still they love the nation and strive for protecting us and our nation. HATS OFF TO THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES.
At last i would like to say that with this show i have become more sensitive towards the army men and their families than what i was before.

A BIG SALUTE to the army men and their families..

It's an eye opener for me..I read in news..pay 2 minutes of silence at work.. dedicate a days pay to the lost family..but the emotional loss is beyond words..this series touched my heart..I can no longer enjoy the regular TV series with trip and fall scenes or non stop staring of the leads..

This is why I love POW. It instills patriotism in a person to such an extent and that too without indulging in hyper-nationalism.
We need more shows like this in today's world. Especially with all the anti-national forces out there in the real world nowadays trying so hard to break the morale of our soldiers in the name of "freedom of expression"

The show has brought forward the batlles of the army families as well becausb they too fight . It's easy for us to salute them , donate something to the fund but nobody i this world can fill the void left by death of the soldier in his family . No money , no sympathy & no respect because that can not bring back their loved ones .
