Turning of 3rd POW is justified in HATUFIM, not in POW yet

Amidst of the shock, disgust and anger spread for Sadiq, I couldn't help but went to watch the original, more for finding the reason and justification of how the 3rd POW's change of heart and intentions is depicted.
I m still halfway through the season - 2 of HATUFIM, and I have to admit their portrayal of the journey from Amiel to Yusuf (Sid to Sadiq) has not only been amusing but also thought provoking and yet convincing.

1. We quickly connected with POW's Sid who was cheerful, mischievous and match-maker between Shobha-Vik, the fun loving guy at the same time very honest, intelligent and determined soldier.

but we couldn't connect with Sadiq, the one in LOC and the devilish image of the same person that we are seeing in India.

bcoz the shift was shown at faster pace, never allotting time to viewers to sink in with the transformation.

Sid to Sadiq took place barely in 2-3 episodes.

Comparatively, this transformation is represented at gradual pace in HATUFIM.

2. I would like to point out one scene in Hatufim where a defense psychologist conducting a seminar for her students narrate the different tricks enemy plays to toy with the psyche of enemy soldiers.

She insists on a line -
HAND THAT HURTS BECOMES HAND THAT HEALS.
She says -
When the soldier reaches a state of mind where he can't identify himself and is on verge of giving up, the enemy plays the most cruel game. KINDNESS.
When the torturer gives you care, comfort and new life, and shows KINDNESS, the soldier gives him the power to influence his thoughts through a new IDENTIFICATION.

At every line above mentioned, the scene keeps on shifting to Amiel (Sid), how he was tired, giving up hope and later is rescued by the enemy. This juxtaposition of two different scenes in two different settings makes this transformation very intriguing and believable.

In Sid's case, we saw him losing hope hardly once after which Sartaj cheers him up by reminding about Shobha.

3. The basic characterization between Amiel and Sid also sheds light on few facts.
Sid is shown as the most focused, determined and mentally strongest among 3 POWs and therefore his transformation to the cold blooded Sadiq is not getting digested.
While Amiel is shown on the similar lines of Uri (Sartaj), a scared, sometimes shy and an introvert personality. That is the largest reason of him converting into enemy's side looks credible.

4. Furthermore, viewers of POW are so much emotionally connected with Sid. In Hatufim, the bond between Amiel and his younger sister Yael is highlighted to greater depths, in fact, it is the sister who fetches more attention in season -1 and partly in 2 before the focus shifts to Amiel/ Yusuf (Sid/ Sadiq).
Sid is more attached than Amiel and that explains the whole hullabaloo going on now...

hope writers had kept those points in mind... still the show is not over and looking forward what is in store for us...

P. S. Sorry for going off topic, but had to share it with u all

Yaa Amiel transformation was reasonable as his own men who once promised to save him and take care of him tried to kill him because of pressure and his survival .where as Sid he knows that if it was in
Hands of iman and Sartaj they would have saved him at any cost and he can see Sartaj love clearly but still there is something really big going on in Sid's mind it's for India or for sake of mankind only and I guess even Amiel will be with his country only .

yes, that s right..

Amiel was too weak and vulnerable to distinguish between what his other friends did to him and how they were forced to beat him. Rather than Sid who had his conscience intact even in that miserably injured condition as he protested with Lala claiming that there was nothing wrong with Sartaj's actions and he would have done the same to save Iman.

Also

One more major difference is that Amiel was tortured for only 2 years and after that he lived with the enemy for 15 years...15 years is a fairly long time to connect n bond with someone.

But in Sid's case he was tortured for 15 years and spent only 2 years with the enemy...again 2 years of time is too less to emotionally get attached to someone to this extent

Also if Amiel did turn or not was the cliffhanger of season 2 and we know after that 3rd season never came

One more thing AMIEL was tortured and was forced to call himself Yusuf
While on the other hand Sid was not tortured by Lala to call himself Sadiq

There are a lot of things which doesn't justify Sid's turning which I have mentioned a lot of times before in my posts.

yes, 2 vs 15 yr in enemy captivity is a vast difference.

oh, yes..just saw that...Yusuf was forcibly stifled under toilet water to call himself Yusuf, while Sid never had to go through such force..

@Bold: Wow. So technically, POW is currently showing us Hatufim Season 3.
So, they are free to take any route now.

Yes but m sure Gideon must have been involved in how they must have decided to end the series since he is the director/Writer of Hatufim and it is his show's adaptation
Also as far as I know there are few major revelations in Hatufim which haven't been shown in P.O.W. yet...will they show it or not remains to be seen
