See I agree , His Transformation is something even I was not convinced ... and hence found it un-digestible at that time ( If I remember I had mentioned the same thing in one topic of mine )...
They seriously need to address this Transformation reason properly , because Yes then this whole Sid turning into Sadiq wont make any sense .

The way story is going what I have seen so far ... writers are not following linear story telling route , so I am keeping baits that they'll address it in coming epis ...that is only if Sid has actually turned anti-India .

I am feeling intrigued... Yeh toh hona hi tha doston... It was always coming.. So much was missing... Sid - Lala convo before Lala died.. Lala's unflinching trust on Sadiq and the missing warmth when he hugged Imaan and Sartaj after he returned..That affection was only felt when he greeted his sister... I still hope he will change again.. His feelings towards India and his people will revive or like anshvi said may be he is still playing around and still no one knows what the real plan is.. I also feel that the defence minister might propose Sid's name for the new NSA.. πŸ˜•
And Anurag Sinha, he is becoming handsome day by day... My goodness, he looks so good,, clean shaven ..☺️. Till today I was just in awe with his acting and his character... But he really looks so so handsome in those formals... πŸ˜› πŸ˜› I love him.. ☺️

so be it any Soldier American or Indian ...
And infact this , actually makes me connect more with them , their sacrifices , their strength's...

Having said that ... There is still room for Sid being Sid or better to say being Positive ..
1) His "Asli plan kyaa han koi nahin jaanta" ...Plan was Mission Baadshah , but If that is not the plan then what it is ??
2) His says ...Sabse bade Dushman ko maarna chahata hoon ... who is this ??
3) why Lala trusts Siddhant so much ...even this is not addressed yet .

so there is still possibility ...of this going Once Soldier always Soldier way ...

But for me It will be just Stereotype and will disappoint me that Makers dint took bold way and got succumbed to the TYPICAL-ness

it depends , " asli plan kya hai koi nahi janta" was meant for audiences or for those in the show who were told about the plan of kidnapping thadanis

and , in lala's own words , biggest dushman for pakistani side is govind mehta , so case mission badshah is not the real plan , killing govind mehta can be...

overall those points work both ways

completely agree with ur last line

I don't think it is putting unnessary pressure on the soldiers...nobody judges them...Sartaj planted bomb to protect his family but no one judged him...Imaan even was planning to the same them and we didn't judge him coz we all knew their situation.
Siddhant started reading Quaran coz he was a nastik before but after Hussain gifted him Quran he started reading it then followed it. .which is beautiful I feel.
He fell in love with Afreen but nobody judged him coz we all know he is human and is very natural to fall in love with a person who cares for u even it she happens to be the National enemy's daughter.
He bonded with Hussain and we didn't judge him coz again no where it says that a soldier can't form a bond with a neighbouring nation's kid.
All the above showcase a soldier's human and vulnerable side and it si beautiful to say the least.
But to show that a soldier who believed in these sayings - country above all, ek soldier ki jaan uski Desh ki hoti hai, once a soldier always a soldier , who believed that India is a great country as a thakur , khan and a Jat can eat together in harmony, whom 15 years of torture couldn't break, if now we are shown that the very same soldier who had pledged to protect his nation has turned against his own nation without a single concrete reason - for me this is not a Nayi Soch and doesn't make sense.
Defence people can be the most human people we ever come across but their country will and love for their nation is something which is super strong and that should be showcased through the show as well is what I feel
(Sorry it is just purely my opinion 😊)

I think Rohan has a very important role to play in future episodes.

I agree Imaan/Sartaj even they to save their family , were ready to plant bomb .
But teh main thing you forgot , Imaan turned his back to it ONLY When He got a call from Naaz , precisely someone who showed him the right path , same case was with Sartaj ...Imaan was there to guide him .
Who was there with Siddhant to guide him ? that the path he is taking is wrong ?

@bold : See that what I said , they still have not shown this transformation properly .

Whatever I have written above , is more like findings reasoning's for Siddhant's change .
The makers have not yet shown themselves.
And if they THINK , they have shown , then sorry ..Its just superficial and doesn't make sense .
And their whole claim of Sid to Sadiq journey falls flat ...LIKE FLAT .

See...I do believe cirrcumstances CHANGE people .
And I am sure If Soldiers can be put under this Category , I WANT to ...
and hence I myself waiting what reasons Makers give for this Transformation .

Shit. I still cant come out of what I just saw.

But to show that he converted without giving a single strong reason for his conversion is a hard pill to digest. And for me that is not a nayi soch at all.
Why would a guy like Siddhant turn...the 15 years of torture couldn't break him...then what happened in those 2 years that he turned.
Afreen's love , Hussain's care , lala's empathy or Hussain's death..are the strong enough reasons for him to turn...doesn't make sense.
IF Sid has Afreen in Pak so here in India he has his Shobha di , Rohan , his friends , his own people.
Why is he against INDIA all of a sudden doesn't make sense.

I still feel that 'ASLI PLAN KYA HAI YE KOI NAHI JANTA' still applies.

EXACTLY!

I know my anger is premature but I really wanted to slap Sid today when he smirked and acted like a dumbass at the breakfast table. If not for Imaan and Sartaj, this fellow would have lost all hope for life and may be even had gone mad due to torture and isolation. And now he was smirking at them! Jackass! 😑

Suddenly Lala and Afreen are more important than Shobha? I won't even count Vikram here but Shobha??? Shucks man...I have lost all interest in this show today; I don't know but I am feeling betrayed as an Indian...I don't know but I am feeling so betrayed right now and SO angry at Sid!

@Bold :- Only Hope is that since he thought this in Pakistan

@RollingStone
I agree that Naaz was there to guide Imaan but conscience plays a very important role as well in showing the right path to the person.
And as we both agree no concrete reason has been given by the makers to justify Sid's transformation.
Also any reason will not justify for anybody let alone a soldier to turn against his own country especially if that reason is given by a terrorist
Siddhant was aware about the fact that Lala was the one who tortured them for 15 years..lala was the leader of Jaish which is terrorist organisation and their aim is to destroy India. Sid is aware about this also
M not sure if any reason can justify Sid supporting a man like Lala.
Yes people do change and CIRCUMSTANCES DO CHANGE PEOPLE.
Sid is also not the same person he was 17 years ago.
Circumstances can change a soldier as he is human too.
But if circumstances can get the better of us and can change us for the worse then I m not sure we are strong enough...If circumstances can force us and bring out the worse in us then it's not vulnerability but a weakness.
Being VULNERABLE AND BEING WRONG ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS...Sid falling in love with Afreen , bonding with Hussain , crying in the prison , feeling sympathetic to a dying Lala shows his VULNERABLE side but showing him turn against his own country shows that he is WRONG
If harsh circumstances can break a soldier and can turn him against his own nation and force him to take a wrong path..I am not sure if this is what I would want to watch and would want to believe.

Soldiers can be vulnerable , they can cry , they can breakdown also but their country will is what triumphs all...their will power is steel like and their life becomes that of the nation as mentioned in the show...nothing comes above nation for them.
I just feel this is what should be highlighted through this show.
There are lots of ways to show the vulnerable side of soldiers (like Imaan ans Sartaj almost agreeing to plant the bomb, Sid falling in love with Afreen etc.)
This show has beautifully shown their vulnerable and human side...they should highlight their patriotism and strong country will.
I will prefer watching this cliche anyday 😊

@bold : That is one of the major reasons why I think he for a fact hasn't turned. Not entirely at least. (I think he hasn't at all but you know maybe slight deviation may be there in him).
