Lol... I am glad I got you guys all curious. Why should i be the only one to lose sleep over, what is to happen. And i have vested interest in this serial 😆. Though I am sure he would do a good job, I did not want Anurag to end up with a destroyed life on reel.

Anshvi, all thanks to you that I went and saw last 2 epis of Hatufim... just couldn't sleep without knowing why Sadiq turned.

Barbie... you should not have given that away about his sacrifice. Surprise element rakhna tha.

There is a HT article by Nikhil Advani I think, where he talks about Indianising the Hatufim story and making it all about relationships in an Indian sort of way, because he felt that the Indian audience would not relate to so much cold war, as shown in the Israeli original.

Uri, looks and behaves in a similar manner to Sartaj.

But the thing is, relationships and equations and doings have been interchanged and played a lot with in POW.

In Hatufim,

its Uri's fiancee who falls in love with the brother.

its Nimrod who inflicted the wounds on Amiel, leading the two to think Amiel is dead.

there is no Siddhant-Vikram relation, its just Amiel and his sister.

there is no Hussain, but it is Ismail (Sami) son of the Jail torturer who he gets close to and everyone think Amiel is teaching mathematics to.

I am sorry, I dont want to give away plot lines, but everything is intertwined in POW. Its not a ditto copy of Hatufim, like how Ok Jaanu is a Scene to scene copy of OK Kanmani. SO sorry I had to bring such a reference coz tbh, Ok Kanmani was WAAAY better and Ok Jaanu was simply a let down 😛

I think you should stop with the comparisons. Its not serving any purpose. In fact, it's telling the story out indirectly.

Having said that, there are many many similarities... in fact some of the scenes are copied same to same, like the way in which Siddhant drops down from the chair, when Sartaj punches him for the last time, and then thinks he is dead... Also several, scenes between Afreen and Sadiq... specifically the ones to do with the tabeez.

... hope I added to the confusion and have now lead all of you astray. 😆🤣
