Disappointments are part and parcel of life, can't get away from them so easily! *Deeep Sigh*
So when P.O.W started, I was with full of hope! As always! 😆 But then I expected to see something radical and fresh but it has always been old wine in new bottle! Just make sure to use the best bottles around! 🤔

So yeah! I was hoping to see journey of four main characters and others supporting ones. Majorly the four main leads! I was high with expectation to see journey of two soldiers adjusting to civilian life! They were prisoners for 17 damn years! 17 years is way too much, things change, evolve, people change, technology advances and a lot happens. The world they left is not the same that is going to welcome them so I expected to see their journey trying to fit into this new world! Another important thing is that they were prisoners, tortured for 17 years, and for someone who has been a prisoner normal life of freedom doesn't come very easy! Like people say decolonization of mind takes time, a freed prisoner would take time to free their mind. Bodily they might be independent but it is not so easy to free their mind and adjust!
When the show began I found Imaan's character bit mysterious and Sartaj straightforward. I thought there were lots of shade to Imaan and he was like a hard nut to crack but now he is becoming the counterpart of the goody goody ideal bahu! 😳

Now coming to the other leads, the female leads! 17 years of their life suddenly toppled down. 17 years before a change happened to their life and it took time to cope up with the change, for example take Naaz, it took her 17 years to accept Salim and then suddenly world changed all again! It is not as easy as one say! They might not have undergone the physical torture but they had undergone huge emotional turmoil. They may not be happy but they had an existence and then suddenly one fine morning a change happens. That's what the show promised us in the promo, to show their journey of how they are going to cope up with this sudden change but then! 😳

Well, let me move on from there too! Right now nothing is happening not even the investigation! Goodness I need to talk about the 'Top intelligence Agent' 🥱 Why on earth the makers had to do that? So this is what they do, seduce people and get information out? Why oh why are women shown as capable of doing anything except seducing? It is often glorified and portrayed like the sole 'weapon' which women alone has with which she is going to rule the world! Let me get this straight women can be more than just a seductress!

And now the present track! This infidelity divorce track! When Imaan's past infidelity came I didn't have this much problem because I was curious to see how Naaz will take the issue, I tried putting myself in that position to figure it out and I found it to be a rather complex situation. It happened 17 years before and it was not like Imaan didn't tell her (if only they showed her reading the original letter) A lot happened during 17 years, a lot! Her reaction to the issue would have definitely been different from how it would have been before 17 years. Also her reaction to Salim on knowing he hid the letter. That situation was more complex and layered than what we are watching now. Now it's all like, we know what is in store and how things are going to get settled. I was also curious to see Shyara's reaction, it's not even days since she accepted her Imaan as her father and then this truth comes out, I was seriously curious to see how she was going to deal with the issue! Right now all what is happening is 👎🏼
Still time is there for show to wrap up things and get back on track! Find that Lala guy at least, else amidst this divorce and infidelity people will forget that at some point Vikram wanted to investigate on Imaan and Sartaj.

Sorry that was a ranting of a frustrated viewer who was hoping for a change in Indian telly! These are solely my honest frustration, feel free to agree or disagree! 😃

I agree as well disagree...
The whole kirti/indira part is very lame. I mean a so called hidden agenda of sartaj and imam which they dont openly converse with only the two of them alone, and indira believes that she will woo him and out of sympathy that her documentary is incomplete and she could be fired, sartaj would open up about his pakistani deal in a short film accessible to the whole nation.

The earlier days with him being unable to accept harleen despite knowing that she is a good person was a better plot. I mean 17 years is a long period. 17 years of torture, 8magine the amount if emotional trauma, expecting him to adapt back in a day or so isnt possible. And irrespective of how nice harleen is, she does push things at times. She has also suffered, but there is a difference between both of their traumas. Loneliness is one thing. Physical and emotional abuse another.

Coming to naaz, i somehow see things differently. She did have her times of outbursts and loneliness, she waited for him, maybe not 17 years, but she did, she cursed herself for having thought of moving with salim, u obviously bond when someone has been your support all ur life, now from where she sees it she was waiting for an imaam who had plans to divorce her, she was feeling bad about developing a soft corner for salim in imaam absence, when imam confesses to having fallen in love with someone while he and naz were together and having their 2 nd baby. Her attempts to make sure that her world revolves only around imam and put his happiness above everything else was insulted in a jiffy.

I really hope that they stay true to their initial plot... The story has a lot of potential and could b a game changer .
