(It had been long since Nazneen had locked the doors of her past and just recently got ready to move on to her future. But her past, Imaan, came back knocking on her closed doors. Harleen has always waited, but her wait seemed to be endless and boundless that the path itself seemed to far and long. She hadnt exactly moved on, No she did not move on from Sartaj, but she did move on in her life as she educated herself and got her in-laws family to a position and state that they are now in. Suddenly came a knocking on her doors, which she always wanted but maybe knew it wouldnt open, yet continued to wait to see what lies in store for her after the wait )
Aa raha hai
Laut ke phir woh samjho
Door tha Nigahon se
( They are finally coming back. Those who were very very far from sight for so many long years. )
Phir bhi kyun lage
Faasle hai har jagaah
Phir bhi kyun lage
Waqt hai yeh Bewafa
( The ones they have waited for, are finally arriving. They have arrived. It should be a moment of joy and happiness, yet there seems to be so many differences and distances. Imaan and Sartaj are so close physically to their families, but mentally so apart. So far apart. 17 years of differences piling up between Sartaj-Harleen And Imaan-Naaz, Naaz-Salim, Imaan-kids. Time really seems to be Naaz's worst enemy. When she had finally decided to move on in her life and not wait for someone who's existence is in ambiguity, Lo Behold ! He now stands right in front of her. If only Time would have been considerate of her and not put her in such conflicting situations )

Kaid hai Hawaon mein
( The poor pair of Imaan and Sartaj. What a splendid couplet for how these two, or actually just Sartaj feels now. How ever many words I put into explaining these lines, the depth of this couplet is so deep that it can only be felt by a person, words are too little to explain this. They are out of custody from Pakistan, they have been freed from all the evil tortures they had to bear for 17 years. They re free to fly, but there are just so many changes that have happened in these 17 years in their families and in India and in the World as such, that they are still handicapped to handle the change. They are bound by the newness of the surroundings. Bound by the changing equations in their families )
Kya pata tha
Sirf ek Lamha hai
Sadiyon ki duaon mein
( Nazneen and Harleen have waited and waited for 17 years. And prayed for their husbands to return. But hardly did they know that an endless prayer of 17 years would culminate in a second. The prayers of the families has been answered. They have prayed for so many years, yet the reply to their prayers is felt just in a second. They have asked for Sartaj and Imaan for 17 years, maybe a million times but they return to them just once. The answer is so small, for devotion and prayer of 17 very long years )
Phir bhi kyun lage
Hona kya hai, Kya pata
Phir bhi kyun lage
Dhundhla sa hai yeh Raasta
( Everything seems messed up and new and confused. So many things have happened in these 17 years and everything is culminating in that moment. What holds for us in the future is unknown )

Hey guys. This is my Second post on an Interpretation. My first Interpretation post was on Dhaage and now it is on this Song. Hope you guys enjoy reading the interpretation. And I would love to hear from you guys your interpretations and analysis too.
